I just got Photoshop Elements 2.0 yesterday and i've been making really cool abstract kinda pictures. I really like making abstract but i want to kno how to use photoshop to edit cars. do I use layers? O perhaps i should use a diferent version of Photoshop....though to only other photoshops at the store were 189$ or 1200$ so i choose this one. I'd take the time to read the manual but it didnt help that much when I did look at it.So how do I edit cars with Photoshop elements?

I have Elements 2.0. I've used both photoshop 7 and elements 2 for chopping, and I'm going to say that elements 2 is much easier to use (photoshop is so absurdly complex; I wouldn't ever switch over). The cool thing about elements, once you get past the user compatibility that is drastically better than photoshop 7, is that most of the things you can do in 7 can be replicated or duplicated in elements (if you know what you're doing). As far as editing cars in elements, go around to the various photoshopping sites and read the tutorials there. Granted, they are for 7, but most of them are so simple that they are easily obtainable in elements. So, just mess around with it, and read my beginners' guide to photochopping...

Bleh. Photochopping requires about 10% of what Photoshop provides.

Depends on how good you want the chop to be. If you want something that'll win you an overall competition, then you'll need about 70-80% of that it offers; which is basically photoshop elements 2...
