Hi Everyone,

Glad that I have found this side, since so far I have seen some pretty cool and interesting posts in here...

So here is my dilema, I need to complete the Pick up truck race but I can't buy a new Pick up truck leave a lone a pre owned one.

What could I do or is there something that can be done?

Thanks on any feedback I might get here.

you need to level up as a lot of cars only open up when you reach some levels

actually you just have to get lucky and find a truck in the used car dealership. basically after every race there will be 6 new cars in the used car dealership so keep checking until one becomes available since there are no trucks in the new car dealership as far as I know.

Also, I think I heard someone mention that you get a truck as a prize car for completing some international license but I don't remember which one.

you get a truck for completing international A license, it is the dodge ram.

the trucks are pretty rare in the used car dealerships.

I had to wait for the Ford Lightening F-150 to make it's return, I missed it the first time but it came back just before I started level 17 tonight. Not a big fan of the truck races anyway, it's seems rather pointless to be even making a return to the game. Just keep checking the used car/truck section & something will show up.

I picked up the F150 2ndhand ... i'm only up to lvl 9 ... there was also some chevy pickup when I was level 1 or so but I didn't take notice because it was higher than my level.

As said... all you can do (apart from complete IA Licence) is keep an eye on the Used Car Dealership. I got an F-150 SVT (SST?) from there.

I needed to add a rocket to it for Bob, but it worked okay for me with just an oil change!

The License is the IA license. The issue here is that I can't finish the last race since I always get hit by the AI cars and fail to finish the race.

The Race (2 Rounds in Grand Valley Speedway) seems almost impossible, the Revard as I researched after you guys pointing it out is the Dodge RAM ... but I am stuck with the IC license.

Thanks guys for the fast reply and assistance on this dilema, some of your imputs helped me alot to obtain vital information. I guess I have to stick it out and try to master the license.

By the way the Truck Race is at level 5 and I am already level 13; however, the IC license is at level 12

I am done with all other events in the amateur but for the truck one, anyone willing to part with their truck? I may have a good car in return

I picked up a Tacoma in the used car market... a little tweaking and it destroyed the competition.. easy wins. I don't think it's needed after that?

I'm convinced. The Toyota X-Runner '04 is the best car to buy after your initial sub-$20k purchase. Why? It's available at 3 different times at the used car market, so it is available quite frequently. It's by far the lightest truck (500kg lighter than the rest), and it only costs $20850.

Why is it so good? After sinking ~$80k into strictly performance upgrades and an engine overhaul, it's a 622hp 1687kg BEAST. No racing slicks needed. It dominates the pickup truck series (and many others early on), which includes the QUICK & EASY $8k you get for sub-3min Daytona runs.

I used my Supercharged Ford F150 pick-up, can't remember where I got it from now but it was wayyy good enough for Bob to win, just had to set the tranny up for Laguna Secam he needed very short gear ratios to go win but he did it in the end! :P

I have a Silverado SST Concept 02 that has 913 HP and the engine isn't broken in yet. If someone needs a truck I have a Dodge Ram 1500 I used for my truck race. I just put a few HP upgrades and bot the fully modified suspension(So if could lift it) and cruised through the races pretty easy.

If you still need a truck hit me up on psn

I waited ages for a truck in the used lot and like a bus two came at once. I had to decide between the F150 and the Toyota X runner, I picked the F150 and spent a fortune tuning it up to 842 BHP only to run it on B spec with a level 10 driver and it came second even though the highest BHP was 381. Guess I picked the wrong truck ???

I get that F-150 or whatever it's called almost every day. Bought it as well last week, and it still shows up along with a SSR. Glad I won the truck event with a stock F-150..
And I'm still waiting for a Lupo to show up as I sold mine..

How often do the cars in the used dealership change anyway? I thought every day at first, but with all those S2000's, GT-R R34's and F-150's showing up every day and no Lupo's at all, I don't know anymore.

I bought the Daihatsu Midget II D Type '98 when it showed up at the Dealership. A 32 HP beast! Of course it didn't stand a chance. So I sank some more cash into it. Now it's at 88 HP with 548 kg. And what shall I say? Still not a chance :D

It took me ages to finally see a Ford Lightning...but it came up, and I've completed with golds the A and B spec races.

And funnily enough...now I just keep seeing the same coloured Ford trucks over and over again in my used car lot.

went back to the Midget and put some more money into it. Actually, I got the "Looney Tunes" trophy by doing so. A very fittin occasion to get this trophy, might I add :)

Anyway, I am now at 114 HP @ 525 kg with the Midget. And what shall I say? I dominated Laguna Seca. Won with a ~2 second lead, after I had put the max speed at 170 km/h. With Daytona I only managed to get 3rd so far after putting the max speed at 250 km/h. First place might be possible but it would call for very careful slipstreaming and a bit of luck.

If you have the cash, you can go with the Daihatsu Midget and get a least bronze on the two events - after pumping an insanely amount of money into tunig the little bugger, of course.

The trucks come up pretty often in the used car lot I have seen the Ford several times. The Dodge a few times and the Toyota. The Chevys a time or two as well. Also got the Dodge and the Chevy SSR as prizes.
