Yeap, the folks decided it was time for a new TV (After the last 'new' TV decided to basically commit suicide 6 months ago), and we've decided on the Sony Bravia 40" V series TV.

I was pretty much standing with my mouth open at the colours this thing reproduces, and to celebrate I'm going to pick up an Xbox 360. :D

Nice! The V-Series is the good one.

We decided against it though and bought a 43" Pioneer Plasma.

Ah, how are you finding it? Basically all the people we talked to recommended a plasma for over 40" and lcd for 40" and under - based on price we went with the smaller lcd. Getting the Bravia tomorrow, can't wait :D

It's still in the garage awaiting installation! We're in the process of finding a pro who can wall-mount it for us.

Ha ha! I've got someone coming around this week. Our wall is plasterboard over stud joists over breezeblocks, so I am hoping that it won't be too expensive to actually cut out a section of wall to recess the screen by a few inches. If that's too expensive/too impractical it will be fine to attach it to the plasterboard, and it isn't that expensive.
