I haven't got GT4 yet. I did go over to my friends house when he picked it on day one and he gave me the low-down. He seems to be having a hard time drifting with things. He did the whole GT3 Transfer and has managed to get nowhere as far as I know. What I would like to know is how should I start out from day one when I get the game. Should I start a normal game? Which car? What settings? Do I have to transfer my GT3 game or can a start without? Any techniques to practice? Anyhelp would be appreciated. I would really like to pick this game up a drift race from start to finish if possible. I used to drift in GT3 so I don't think it should be to hard to pick up again, but that was a long time ago, and after playing resently I know I'm very rusty. Thanks again!

hmm, look for a favorite car that you have that can drift, if that doesn't work.. go to arcade mode and practice with the AMUSE s2000 R1

find a ae86, turn off all TCS, and put econs on. The car is underpowered, but light enough to swing around. the torque isnt off the charts either, its easy to keep in range.

when u get the game , do yourself a favor and do the tests (dont load)... they will teach you the basics of driving with traction... that's basis for drifting even if it doesnt look that way.

u'll also get some cars so you can start of racing...

as the guys above me said, get a ae86 or some other slightly underpowered rwd car with econ. tires and practice...

I'm not so sure if you want to drift again or where to begin in playing the game. If you are into drifting, then I suggest you transfer. You can still take the License Test. Grab any FR or MR drivetrain car. Then get a suspension and start messing with those setting espcially with the camber angle. Boost some HP from 200- 300HP into your car. You some drifting before, so You are probly better than I am. But I do suggest E-brake with no countersteer tap a few time on you acceleration. If you find your rear swing out to much for a oversteer the you countersteer. It's only a suggestion. On the other hand if you are looking for where to begin, then I say grab your self a 4WD car and boost up HP and grab a suspension for better handling. Participate in the 4WD event in beginner mode where you can earn 1.5K for first place or the professional race for 3k. With the 4WD you got a better grip for grip driving. I hope this help. Oh if any one feel I have stated soemthign wrong please state it. But remember I'm not replying back to anything that my start a fight. Beside that Take care and good luck!

I think its better to learn drifting with an FR car.. oh and dont forget to turn off the driving AIDS!! or its goin to be hard for you to drift.

1. transfer 100,000 credits and liscense
2. win Japanese 90s car, get nismo 400r
3. tune/mod to 530 hp
4. equip N3 tires, and drift GT3 style just brake earlier.
