I couldn't find a thread about this, and since the other pics-threads ( funny pics, pics of you, pics of you and your girlfriend, pics of your car, show off you latest purchase and so forth ) are always fun to watch I thought adding this thread to a forum about video games might just fit.

So here we go :

Those are most of my games, although some are missing. For example about 5 Xbox360 games ( Condemned 2, Virtua Fighter 5, Prince of Persia etc ) and a lot of retro games ( SNES, SFC, Mega Drive, handheld games )

Your turn ! Show us some pics, describe what we see and discuss !

IT IS A MULTIPLE CHOICE POLL - YOU CAN CHOOSE AS MANY OPTIONS AS YOU LIKE !!!

wow, quite a lengthy poll there
good work
I might consider taking some photos soon

Yeah I might take some pictures of my collection (if I get them all together).

I'm sure my collection is only small living as a 17 y.o on low wage trying to buy a car (lol). To start with I have never ever sold a game/console or traded a game/console. As a result I have close to 15 PS2 games and at least another 15 PC games and 5 psx games (somewhere).

The prize of my (small) collection is the NFS Series.
  • Need For Speed SE (PC)
  • Need for Speed II (PC)
  • Need for Speed II SE (PC)
  • Need For Speed 3 Hot Pursuit (PC)
  • Need For Speed High Stakes (PC)
  • Need For Speed Hot Pursuit 2 (PC)
  • Need For Speed Underground (PS2)
  • Need For Speed Underground 2 (PC)
  • Need For Speed Most Wanted (PC)
  • Need For Speed Carbon (PC)
  • Need For Speed Prostreet (PC)
  • Need For Speed Undercover (PC)

You'll notice I'm missing Porsche Unleashed as well as numerous other titles for platforms I don't own. I plan to get Unleashed and a PC copy of Underground in which case I will most likely end the collection as I think I've heard enough when they split off in three directions.

What's all the Japanese ones?

Pretty nice collection nonetheless.

I suggest you guys go here.

I own 432 games listed on this site (http://www.vgrebirth.org/community/games.asp?id=JCE3000GT) that doesn't include alot of demos and other games they don't have listed. I own over 100 computer games (legally) and my Super Nintendo/Famicom collection contains about 50 duplicates. All together my duplicates range from 90-100 units. Most of my collection is in storage so I don't have pictures of them in their current form.

My collection as of 2007 (which is about ~75-85 games less than now)

I try to collect games that won't cost me more than $15 to buy unless its something special like a new release. I'm going to work on my GameCube, XBOX and PS2 games before GameStop stops selling them.

Thanks. Well, there are obviously a lot of Japanese games so naming them all would be a lot of work ;-).
What I can say though is, that I bought games from pretty much all genres in Japanese, although I'm not able to speak or read it.
So there are many racing games ( All Gran Turismo games for example, Wangan Midnight, Enthusia, Kaido / Shutokou / C1 Battle , Battle Gear, and many other unknown racing games like Option Tuning Car Battle 1/2, Side by Side Special, Naniwa Wangan Battle etc ) and Beat'em Ups, Action games, Shooters, Tokyo Bus Guide 1&2, Densha de Go train sims, flight games, sports games etc.
No rpg's of course ;-). I like Japan, and I prefer playing the "original" - also before the consoles went HD, Europe got most of the games 1-12 months later than Japan, and even then they often had conversion issues ( NTSC>PAl, resulting in speed loss and / or deformed screen size ) - that's why importing was a huge deal back in the 90's :D

I guess you can't have enough Madden / football games right ? :D

The link you posted is nice, although I don't see myself having enough time or will to fill a list with with like 600 games out of a list with probably like 10000+ games any time soon. Then again I should give it a try one day, I might do it in summer.

Nice collection you have there, saw some rare Japanese games. I actually wouldn't consider buying PS2 or Xbox games anymore. I play some classics from time to time for nostalgic reasons, but buying new old games with bad graphics, I don't know, could you explain why you do that ?

I mean I did that myself with NES / SNES / SFC / MS / MD etc games because I miss ed a lot of great games as I was younger, but Xbox / PS2 - I pretty much bought all the games I liked, so there are no more unfulfilled wishes left ;)

Also I think Xbox / PS2 and especially early 3D PSX / Sat games haven't really aged that well compared to 2d Bitmap SNES games etc.

I bought all those sports games only because they were less than $3 per game. I also buy "new old games" mainly if they are cheap (less than $5) or its something I want to collect/play. Some early 3D games are still fun to me, but that's because I don't care what graphics a game has as long as its fun, has a story and more importantly has good music/sound. What's sad is that I have only played less than 10% of my collection.

Just posting an update and to bump the thread. I'd like to see other people's collections just because I'm curious like that. :D

http://www.vgrebirth.org/community/games.asp?id=JCE3000GT

My collection has increased. :D And since GameStop is gearing up to stop carrying GameCube, XBOX and PS2 games soon the prices are getting REALLY cheap. That's when I swoop down and pickup 5-15 games at a time. :D

Just bumping this thread again...
Well, a little update from me, still collecting, still own about 20 consoles, didn't sell anything.
I have to admit though, that I have less time to play videogames in general, and franchises like Call of Duty with its extensive multiplayer experience make it hard to keep up with all the latets games, even just the AAA titles.

And I had a retro week about a month ago and replayed a lot of games (especially PSX, PS2, SNES/SFC and N64) and even bought a few more japanese classics like 2 Touge (Atlus) games for PSX, Racing lagoon (Squaresoft) and Wave Race(JP, had the US version before, but wanted the "original" aswell).

On a sidenote, the japanese game scene as i used to know it from the 90's is as dead as it gets. I mean what is left of it? Take racing games for example:
Shutokou Battle series, Kaido battle series, Battle Gear series, Touge series, Enthusia prof. racing, Option tuning car battle, ridge racer(original)... also no sequels to Tokyo Bus Guide and Densha de Go.

Really really sad development if you ask me.

Anyway, vote the hell of the poll and share pictures of your collections, tell us about what you think about videogames and video game collecting these days !

Old but cool thread.

I don't sell any games. But I had given away some some time ago (when selling consoles, presents,...)

I regret it, lol.

I have around 80 Ps3 games, 80 ps2, maybe a few ps1 laying around somewhere, 60 xbox360, 10-20 saturn and dreamcast, 20-30 PSP-Vita games,
around 100 minis and alike from ps+
and around 500 Pc games

I regret that I threw away the original casing of my old games (the square CD casing)

and just threw away around 300 amstrad games

I don't have much games ATM. I've sold all of my PS2 games bar one (ToCA3). I only have 5 physical PS3 games right now: Battlefield 3, Modern Warfare 3, Black Ops, Hot Pursuit 3 and LittleBigPlanet (which is really my sister's game).
I've got a few digital games, which include: Journey, Shift 2 and all of the Welcome Back games. My PC's really crap and I can't afford to upgrade it, so all of the games I have are pre 2004 (apart from Minecraft, which I get about 10fps on :guilty:): Namely a few Need for Speeds, Zoo Tycoon and Road Rash (FTW!).
I've got a DS too, but the hinge is broken and I traded in all of my games

I have a pretty random selection of games, from SimCity 4 to GTA IV. I used to have every Need for Speed from Underground 2 to Carbon on PS2 (MW and Carbon where special editions) but I sold them when I got my PS3... :(

I miss a lot of my PS2 games, and am planning on picking up Most Wanted on Xbox 360 soon, as well as GTA Vice City, the only 3D GTA I don't own in some form.

Doh! I forgot to tick the PSX games.

I still have most of PS2 games and still have a PS2, but I had to buy a couple of games again as I borrowed them but they were never returned.
Can't remember exactly who borrowed the games.

And I was very stupid to give my Sega Mega drive and Mega cd as an extra when I sold my PSX.
Still regret that decision.

Ryan, I will envy you forever if you get MW on the 360. Considering it was so good on the PS2, you have to get it.
