Not sure if this is public knowledge already but I think the North American cover art for Gran Turismo 2 (which infamously features the McLaren F1) originated from the cover of the 1999 Road & Track Calendar.

Jeff Zwart recently posted the full gallery on his Instagram, to which he mentioned that he did "sell some of his photos to video games back in the day."

Thank you for the heads up! I've tried various reverse image search tools multiple times trying to find that before, it's cool to finally see the source identified. :cheers:

I wish i could take credit for the find.

Four years ago i asked on Reddit what the picture could be after searching myself, and noticed it said FoMoCo on one of the sensors.
Two years later someone else concluded that it could also have been a Jaguar or Aston Martin motor, and found it after 30 mins.
