These are just thumbnails but you can see they are BEAUTIFUL!

Some are up to 30.000 pixels wide (!) thats like 20 desktops lol

Those are nice, personally I'll have to take pieces and make separate wallpapers from them.

I know in Ubuntu I can make 20 some workstations(pretty much multiple monitors in one to sum it up) but I don't know if it would span around that background.
 
Ohh my - That'll make for some interesting desktops I'm sure..

If you're running a dual screen monitor setup as me, you have to set the left most monitor to Primary, and set the background to "Tile". That's the only way I could make the Span work.

He's running Ubuntu Linux, he's got different workstations (like having 4-20 desktops in 1), and it doesn't allow you to span those images across all 4 workstations.

What he can do, however, is use a painting program to make 4 different pictures out of the same 1, then set each picture in it's own Workstation.

But if he's only running a single monitor, does it really matter ?...

Only if he wants to press the "Switch Workstation" hotkeys a bunch of times and get something new each time.
