I hate how when you run pinks n you win you end up getting on 3 days later and you still don't have your car, i also hate those people that think that your a scammer along with the rest

Well what do you expect?!

It's a online race, and the loser of the race isn't forced to give you the car. ^^

We should race one day...Pinks.

What is this, fast and the furious...

I assumed it was some sort of female racing ;) I would personally honour it if I agree'd to it, I guess with no "rule" or "option" you'll get the dishonest not giving their car up :(

Does anyone remember Motorcity Online? That was awesome, because it had a system in place for racing for pink slips, so the person who lost, was forced to give up their car.

Man, Motorcity Online had so much promise. It never even got off the ground outside of the US, and NFSWorld is something entirely in the wrong direction. Video game publishers just don't "get it" sometimes. Maybe GT's open-world / free-roam thingy, should it see the light of day, can show the way? That would be something...

Anyway, it sucks that these people are being so dishonest, but you've not really lost anything per se. Then again, neither has the person who "lost" technically lost anything, especially if they dupe. :dopey:

I taught you were talking about the colour of your car when I 1st opened this tread! lol!

Worst thread title of 2012. I was expecting either chicks or pink cars.

There is no honor amongst thieves.

Why race for pinks when you can just buy it yourself? Everyone is a virtual millionaire in GT5.

It makes the racing more competitive when you have something at stake. There are plenty of cars in GT5 that can be pretty difficult to acquire, that would make it worth it.

in that case I would use my McLaren F1...

I guess that's where I show my age.

Back in the day, pride was prize enough.

F'n kids these days.

Why you freaking out for? It's just like gambling. It adds excitement, makes the hands shake, gets the adrenaline pumping. Makes any race 10 times better. Your the one missing out.. F'n old boring farts these day.

 I thought the same thing!

And then I read the OP... and thought... what are these people stuck in the 1950s? LOL

Get off the ps3 & go watch Happy Days on the tv set.

adds excitement??? how? what is there to lose that you can't replace by running in one seasonal???

it's not like it's hard to get virtual credits in GT5 to buy any car 10x over. i give out doubles of existing cars to friends for free and delete the ones i can't give away (ie > 1mil cr.)

exciting race in my book is all running similar stock cars, no tuning, and clean racing (ie you bump someone by mistake, you wait for him to pass you). GT500 races are pretty epic since they are pretty evenly matched

That wasn't freaking out. The AUP prevents me from "freaking out" properly. I can, however, provide my email address, so that a thorough "freaking out" can be witnessed.

Besides, this thread doesn't warrant any "freaking out."

I agree with every one but its jst like if ur going to talk mad poop n run pinks at least be a man n admit you lost n give up ur car

The reliance on human nature is the first mistake. Its like asking to be paid for work you're about to do.

With no system of checks and balances, you set yourself up to be screwed.

There is no physical system to this user-made system of pink-slip racing in GT5; therefore no one is obliged to hold up either end of the deal.

The only real user-made system (that I've seen work and I trust) in GT5 is GTP's Marketplace which has hundreds of users that can be trusted for honestly going through with the process of trading.

However, in the words of McClarenDesign:
