Well, at least I consider the following actions as broken.
I have been running the initial endurance races with the pit stop strength level set to 10%.
In case you are not aware, the "Pit Stop Strength Level", which is under the Pit Strategy on the B-Spec screen, is used to indicate when you want pit stops to occur in relation to your current driver's strength.
If it is set to "Off", then your driver will continue to drive until either the tires are worn out or the fuel is empty, at which point he will come in for fuel, tires, and a driver change.
If it is set to "10%", then your driver will continue to drive until either the tires are worn out, or the fuel is empty, or his strength falls below 10%.
You can also choose percentages of 20% to 90%, although I am not sure why you would use them.
My thinking was, if I set this to "Off", then I will eventually have a driver who is out of strength trying to pilot a car that has bald tires on it. That can't be good for lap times.
So, I set it to "10%" and therefore if my driver still has strength he will continue until the tires wear out and if he gets too tired he will come in and a fresh driver will go in his place.
This strategy has appeared to work good for the endurance races at the beginning of the series.
But now I have found a problem.
I started the 9 Hour race from Tsukba last night, and set my strategy to "10%" and everything was looking good when I went to bed.
This morning I turned on the TV to see how the Bobs were doing and I saw they were just coming in for a driver change. The active driver had no strength left. He came in and the driver change was done. But Bob #2 who took over the car also had no strength left.
And you guessed it, after 1 lap he came in and pitted.
Enter Bob #3 and he also has no strength and pits on the next lap.
And this pattern repeats for Bob #4 and then through the driver order again.
So, it appears that once your drivers get so far into a race, they will all lose all of their strength and if you have any value set for the strength change it will initiate constant pit stops.
Now, I know this is technically following my instructions to the letter, but I think you can all see this is not what you would expect for this automated strategy setting.
First, I was surprised all 4 drivers were completely out of strength only 6 hours into the race.
Second, it would make more sense that once all drivers were out of strength, the pit strategy would default back to "Off".
As it exists now, this "automated feature" is basically worthless for the longer races, as you would have to babysit it in order to turn it off once it got to the point where it causes repeating pit stops.
For the remaining 2 24 hour races, I guess I will be turning it "Off" from the beginning.
I just wanted to make everyone aware of this in case you are using this setting and weren't aware of this detrimental effect.
