No, because that's how they enforce the Pit lane speed limit. In real racing the Pits are strictly controlled to avoid accidents to crew, and that's reflected in the game.
Maybe they could just give you an option as you are cruising as to whether you want to just change tires, or if you want to go into the garage and change anything from settings to oil.
I think that would be a great option for the enduro races especially.
You could change parts, settings, oil or anything that you can access in the settings menu of free run.
But these are the sorts of things polyphony will never take into consideration because they just dont listen to people like us.
maybe when they lift you up the game should kindof go into a menu like this one.

In LeMans 24 Hours, when you pit you have the option to change gearing, tires, fuel load, and you can save on your endurance races, and pick back up another time.
yea but thats probably because endurance races are the only thing you can do and if you actually have to do the LeMans 24hr im sure they wouldnt expect you to drive for 24hrs straight.
