I think it's a bit more likely to happen at the start of a season. I really hope it does next season. It would be great for everyone to be in on a battle through the entire race.

Hazard is the preliminary season champion!!!

Hazard is not able to pick a car this season and since Falango was not racing today and has no chance of having an IR filed against him will be allowed to chose the car for next season.

@Falango, please have your car or class choice selected by Wednesday at 8pm EST.

1, 3-7 finishers, please have your track combo in mind. These will need to be posted by Friday at 8pm EST.

Let me start by saying this season was fantastic! We had many different race winners and it came down to the final round to determine this season's champion. I want to congratulate @Stanc03 on taking home the win for race #1. Overall, it was a strong event today with only a couple of incidents mostly isolated to race #2. Also it was great to see the co-founder of PITS on track with us again, @Zii1993! Hopefully, he can attend more races with us in the future. @Falango, will be choosing the car for next season, and I am sure we are all waiting in suspense for what he is going to pick. However, I have my suspicions of what it might be, and it probably won't have pop-up headlights :(.

Next weekend is our standard bye week. We will be running 3 short fun races next weekend in place or our normal schedule. The new season will officially start on (2/25/2018).

Technical Bulletin:

Project Cars 2 Tyre Pressure & Temp Data: Hot Pressure & Temp. Targets

Casey Ringley - (Vehicle Technical Lead for Project Cars 2)

Temp. across the tire = 10 - 20 deg. F or 5 - 10 deg. C (Can be tuned via camber)

Overall Tire Temp:
Soft Comp = 70 - 85 deg. C (158 - 185 deg. F)
Hard Comp = 90 - 95 deg. C (194 - 204 deg. F)

Brake Temps:
Straights (Temp. should stabilize) = 300 deg. C
Hard braking max. temp. = 650 - 700 deg. C

Telemetry: (Travel)
When "Travel" flashes “Red” It means you are beginning to engage the bump stop, or getting to the limits of the suspension's movement.

Rough targets for the main tire groups:

Formula Cars (IndyCar, FX, FA, FR3.5): 1.7bar front / 1.45bar rear (24psi / 21psi) at road circuits. The Dallara IR-12 oval/speedway tires like up to 45psi on the right side.

Modern GT & LMP: ~1.8bar front and rear. Maybe down to 1.6bar for a very slow track like Long Beach or higher to 1.90-1.95bar at Le Mans to squeeze a little bit more off the rolling resistance.

Touring cars & V8 Supercar: 2.0-2.15bar front and rear

Ford Fusion Stock Car: 2.4-2.6bar front and rear for road courses. Ovals might go to 3.0bar+ (45-50psi) on the right side

Light sportscars (Radical, BAC, KTM, etc): ~1.6bar (24psi)

Road car tires: All in the 2.1-2.2bar (29-32psi) range hot. Any MotorTrend readers will know how much they stop every few laps and bleed pressure to hold that target during the BDC tests.

Vintage GT: Roughly the same range as modern GT

Vintage Group 6 & Formula: Bit more flexible here. Something in the 1.7bar (25psi) range is usually a good starting point up to 2.0bar (29psi) or down to 1.2bar (17psi) to adjust for balance on something wild like the Lotus 72D

NOTE - In the case of the BMW M1 Procar the Hot Pressure target for all 4 corners was 1.8 bar for the soft compounds, and 1.9 bar for the hard compounds.

@Falango, so I have learned some slightly depressing news. The Porsche 919 LMP1 isn't coming in the Porsche DLC being released in March. It is coming with the Legends of LeMan DLC probably 2nd or 3rd qtr. of this year.

After some intense testing tonight, I can announce that season 4 of PITS 2 will wind back the clock to when Super Nintendo hit stores shelves, Silence of the Lambs hit theaters, and Mark Wahlberg seriously thought he was a rapper......

More importantly, 3 cars from the big 3 German manufacturers battled it out on track in Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters, or as you probably know it, German Touring Cars, DTM! The official class chosen is Group A. There are 5 cars in the class, 3 of which we will use.

1991 Mercedes-Benz 190E 2.5-16 EVO2 DTM
1991 BMW E30 M3 Group A
1991 Audi V8 DTM (Part of the Motorsports Pack)

The Sierra Cosworth and the Skyline GT-R are in the class, but are both far too fast (even though they were a hoot to drive), so they are ineligible this season. The BMW is a stable, predictable, and incredibly consistent car, and great on its tires. The Merc is quick, could be a touch quicker than the BMW, but you really have to work for it, so the risk is high. On the right tracks, the Audi is quicker. It's got plenty more power, but is also much heavier. It has a V8 vs the I4s in the BMW and Merc, but that means it'll chew through tires, and guzzle up the gas. Is it worth choosing the safe bets, or risking it all and going with the bigger, heavier, rubber hungry Audi? Put on your parachute pants and grab your POGs and let's find out! Let's see what tracks you guys want these to battle out on. I can promise you this season is going to be very fun with these cars. I think they will balance out to create some great battles!

We tested "Godzilla" the R32 last night, and OMG, it was so good!!! That car is amazing! It will definitely be making an appearance in this league at some point.

Now that we have the announcement of the cars for this upcoming season, it is time to pick some circuits for them to battle on. The individuals who get to choose tracks, time of day, weather conditions, and time progression are as follows:
