We are racing towards 2million posts on GTP very quickly.

I think maybe a week or so until we're there?

Any parties or special events planned at GTP to mark the occasion, or will it just slip by as if nothing has happened?

💡 Perhaps we could run a competition to see who guesses closest to the time when it clicks over 2,000,000. 💡

I reckon no more than three weeks to the magical 2,000,000... Let me do some calculationing...
 
I'll put 5 bucks (as in a male deer) on February 31st, 2006 at the magical witching hour, or 5 minutes after Maury Povich starts, as long as its a "your not the father" episode.
 
A 2,000,000 post party would be great, but we'll probably still be hung over from our 5th birthday party on Jan. 25th! :D

The short answer for normal members if no (as far as I know). The slightly longer answer is yes...but it's not easy.

There have already been more than 2 million posts, but since deleted posts don't count towards the post count shown on the main page, the actual post number of the 2 millionth "official" post will be something larger than 2 million. To read the "official" 2 millionth post, you'd need to know the number of deleted posts (i.e. the gap between the counts) when the offical post count was 1999999, then when the count was 2 million, add the gap to the number 2000000 to find the post.

edit: The gap at the moment is 113,688 (which is surprising)
