Platinum without all gold?

I have competed the S-License test with all gold but still got a long ways with golding every event, Is it possible to get platinum without golding all events? I would assume so given that the trophies is a bit limited on "Must gold everything".

You don't need 'em for platinum.

GT6's trophies are very easy as the game itself, hard to be proud that i golded every single event in a short time. And then there's no trophy for this. Ridiculous.
