There is hope but no one knows for sure. There is also hope a open beta to HOME could be released with the 2.0 update. Let's hope for both

I think it is in the firmware, developers just need to program their games for it, but I could be wrong.

I'm keeping my fingers crossed for this as well. I would love to be able to play the 600 or so songs that I have on the PS3 HDD while playing a PS3 game. They also need to update their flash player and support for other video formats. I'd rather watch game videos on GameTrailers than on the crappy quality videos of YouTube.
