So, i played yesterday for about 4 hours non stop, i stopped only for a smoke break because after the stuff that was going on yesterday, i needed them all the time, Sorry but i hate The FUJI map at the moment, i sware to god that when the match start, some people automatically go left or right and try to hit you, on the very first corner, everyone crashes, its pretty stupid, then when you get ahead, Especially the people from (JP) (ES) they just ram you, i was racing and literally this guy from (JP) was ramming into my side the whole race, of course on the last turn of the last lap, he ended up hitting me and i lost control and ended in like 5th place because the races are all so close , i really dont think this makes me a bad driver, because if it was real life, i doubt that a real racer would be crashing his 1/4 million dollar car the way that people do it in GT, i personally love to race Clean, but with all the crap that goes on online these days, it makes it so hard.

on a side note, one of the cleanest races i did yesterday, was with a GTp player, dont remember the name but he ended up in first place and i ended up second, it was clean, no crashing, and we both where ahead from the pack, so it was pretty fun trying to catch up to you, but you did not make a single mistake so i couldnt catch up, i think he beat me by like 2 seconds.

Oh and aerosmith323, its all good bro, im pretty sure it was an accident, plus i was in a really bad mood yesterday with all the bull**** that goes on online.

End RANT...

Just make sure there are alot of GTP players on the track and it will be fine, but Fuij is difficult a.t.m. High speed ring is much nicer place to race !

Just relax, take it easy and a sisi ... :) if some punts, just think he does not know better and place it besides you. After all the punting last couple of months, it doesnt irritate me so much anymore.

One thing I have found, ( not defending punter's ) is that with the wheel you pull to the right at the start. Anywere else is deliberate.

I was playing with an Integrale the other day on Intermediate Suzuka Circuit. I was only pushing 622 pp against the other 700 pp cars, but I was off to a good start until the first corner. I got rammed off and dropped to 6/9 place. I dropped down to 8th and then 9th place as I got pushed off the chicanes. I noticed this one Corvette who spun off the track. He caught up about a minute later and took the extra effort to push my car into the kitty litter to boost his chances of not being last. 👍

Oddly, it didn't bug me as much as I thought it would.

yeah man, the thing is that im really competitive, i dont mind losing to a person who really is better than me, but if im ahead all the race, and on the last damn turn i get punted, that really pisses me off, i sware 1 of my remotes is going to be broken one of these days LOL.

I would say 75% of all crashes on Fuji 750PP are intentional and mostly due to crap drivers.

Yep, I intentionally lower my PP so that I can start up front and get away from them. A few PPs off the top end don't matter that much for the race. I learned this by noticing that many Clios still finish near the top even though their max PP is only 741.

If you can get through T1 cleanly, then it's actually a very rewarding track to drive and race, although the dicing on the front straight can get a little absurd. I don't mind the NASCAR style one-weave down the straight, but people zig-zagging 14 times to break the draft just feels and looks stupid.

No way, 25% are intentional, the rest are rubbish drivers who havent learnt that the widest line is actually the fastest usually, so they stick their nose in thinking you lost it, when youve actually gotten a far faster line.

I would count those as intentional.

What I mean with unintentional accidents due to lag are mostly the accidents that occur while braking. Surely you guys have driven behind a lagger and when they hit the brakes they appear to be standing still for a fraction of a second, enough to slam into the back of them and send them off the road. This happens on a massive scale in the first corner of Fuji. Not only while braking but also when turning. I'm sure if there was 0 lag the whole race would be a lot cleaner.

Yay, another 'online race' whine topic...

LOL, i was really pissed that night, but who cares , i actually lowered my PP so i can start ahead and it did wonders, i consistantly end up between 2nd to 4th place after that, i just have to get used to it, ive seen people bumping alot, i saw this japanese player do it to GTP_Moose last night 2 times in the same corner, once i was behind them and i managed to past both of them after that incident and then they where behind me and it happened again on the same turn, some people are just dirty racers.

I've only just tried to play it online and it's...well, very very bad. You have to wait ages to join a game and then when you do, it's just a bumper car affair, with no way of giving negative rep to someone for bad racing and no way of telling him to grow up over a mic like I'm used to. It usually works.

I only bought a PS3 for this game really, I'm tempted to just sell it now.

Get a wheel it will be harder to throw across the room when you get mad.lol
Yeah I just dont understand the ramming and punting dont you have a better chance of winning the race if you just pass and go around the car because most of the time the rammer spins out also.
Are these guys trying to win or just trying to crash the car in front of them?

Think of it this way:
When GT5 comes out, there will be a lot less crappy drivers online because they have to buy the full game. Now it's just a cheap demo of even a game in a ps3 bundle. Not all those punters en rammers are willing to pay 60 bucks for a game they're no good at :D

Punters/drifty drivers with trick up their sleeve are just peopl who cant win at GT5P so they cheat :dopey:

I tend to get revenge, I mean errrm drive on :)

I bought the console almost exclusively for GT5: P; the only other game I was interested in was the PS3 version of Rock Band. I wasn't expecting further price cuts, so I bit the bullet and bought it.

Online play is a disappointment, but I found the biggest and most rewarding challenge in GT4 and GT5 to be my own lap times. Try competing with others on time trial. It's addictive to nudge your way into the top ten of the car's class for the course. I was competing with a friend to force our way up the Fuji Speedway R34 GT-R rankings. We ended up 8th in the class after 70 laps combined.
