It’s almost impossible to play online for me. Every time the game takes me for a host and than it realise that I have slow connection. I can host only 3 people. If more people connect to my host it disconnect everyone. I just can’t play online. Why dose it happen? Can I do something about it? What meas NAT: 0 or 2, 3? I have LAN connection

The host has the lowest PP. Set your PP at the highest possible and you will be selected as host less often.

It's just that if my PP was 400 in a 650pp race and they was no lower PP cars than mine i'd be host. It's so lower PP cars start nearer the front for fairness.

Being on the pole has nothing to do with hosting race. Host is first name in 'player matching'-list, but not necessarily on grid. Grid is based to PP's, and host can be last as well than first.

sometimes it shows 2, sometimes 0.

Today I tried to play maybe 20 times. Only one time I wasn't a host. I play on Fuji intermediate in Audi R8 with 650PP

Wygonin I feel for you that is the main reason I don't even try to race online anymore as I have the same problem as you do. I have tried everything and nothing helps. The only thing that will help you is to race international events(that way most of the time PD picks a japan player as the host more often).

I don't have the problems with connection but i have with slow players :ouch:
I'm racing on Suzuka 650pp 10 laps and always on half race some idiot (who btw is host) pulls out network cable and puts back in (so he can disconnect because he's slow) :grumpy:
This happens to me all the time, some disconnect in first lap, some in 5 to 8th...
Race is starting with 12 players, by the 5th lap there are 5 of us and i'm just waiting to be disconnected by host... I really hate that thing when i'm first and driving well...

If your hosting the race at the start it will say "creating race". If your not hosting the race it will say "joining race".The first name on the race list is the "host". This is the list of players not the race "lineup".

Ranko_SD some players might be disconnecting because they are bad drivers; but it could also be that the "host" is losing his/her connection. You might try sending them a PM and asking them if they are having problems staying connected. If you want to something funny on this look up my PS ID opelgt1969 and check out my quote.

I have a NAT 2 connection and I rarely drop a connection.

Wygonin, do you usually have a slow internet connection? Is your PS3 directly connected or is it wireless? If it's wireless, what kind of router do you use? There may be a firmware update that could help with your connection speeds.

I always had a NAT type3,it worked for gt5p but didnt for SSF2THD.
I couldn't get type 2 for whatever reason.

If you want NAT type 1 direct connection from your PS3 to the internet.

Go through the process of setting up your internet connection on the ps3, then you will see an option for connecting via PPOE, select that, then enter your username and password that your provider gave you for your router.
You should be getting NAT TYPE 1.
That might help you.

Ive had no problems connecting on any game since ive been NAT Type 1.

My PS3 is connected to PC. I share the connection on my PC to PS3. I think thats why I have a problems.

If I download something from PS store I have quite good speed. 1GB demo in 1,5h

But main problem is that it always take me as a host. When I join a race and there is racing 10 people I have no lag. Everything is ok.

When 'player matching' is ready, there reads 'creating race' ...instead of 'joining race'. Your ID is also first on the list of drivers before race.

Ahhh right.............thanks for clearing that up.

i think you just have a slow internet connection dude...i for example download a 1 GB demo in 15 minutes or so...have to say i upgraded my internet connection few months ago...only cost 5 euros more a month...check your provider if you can upgrade to a faster connection, this will probably solve your problems....

spyrrari.
