These are unfortunately out of the box a joke, until you do some work of your own. The main support arm (WRC model type) are the most wobbly, unstable supports I could possibly imagine.
I just received my new SV audio playseat today and am completely disappointed for the amount of money. First the power cord for the audio goes about 2-3 feet past the chair itself (in a straight line). Second the smell coming off this seat is noxious, I have a headache from it and it burns my nostrils. Third the playseat shifter adapter does not fit on the unit as the speaker below blocks it. Fourth I did a lap of the Nurburgring and had to stop half way through because the wheel (T500rs) had slipped so far down that I couldn't turn the wheel properly anymore. Fifth the bottom seat Pad has two plastic pieces with no padding over them perfectly situated to dig into my @#$. (I have no clue what they are or what they are for)
Now I only fault myself for this as I do have a WRC model as well which I have done a lot of work on it in order to make it stable, but man after having done the work on the WRC I completely forgot how bad these seats are out of the box.
In the end after I drill a few holes at the base of the seat and nut an bolt it and do the same with the top portion it will be a pretty stable seat like my other one.
Just wanted to write this up so anyone (and me in case I forget again) looking to buy a playseat are aware that they are buying a pretty flimsy, wobbly and unstable seat. (at least with the support arm in the pic below)
For the record the worst purchase I EVER made in my life was a washroom vanity that was a total waste of money for what I got, this seat is giving that vanity a run for it's wasted money.
