Playing both sides of the fence, Sony has successfully argued in European courts that their PlayStation 2 console isnt really a console at all, rather it is a computer. You might ask why Sony went out of their way to do this and, as always, its all about the money. By winning this lawsuit Sony will receive millions upon millions of dollars in refunds by the European Customs Agency. Heres the actual quote explaining everything:

Sony argued it should be a computer -- and thus eligible for a lower duty -- because of the processors inside. The judges agreed with Sony that the classification "should be carried out on the basis of the components of the item, and not its purpose. Sony spokesman Nick Sharples in London said the company was considering applying for customs rebates, which he said could amount to "millions" of dollars.
