Wait, what??! The PS4 can't play imported video and music files? Seriously??

I just now placed an order for one and I'm regretting it already. I thought it 'only did everything'!? I at least expected it to do everything my current playstation does. How can taking out such basic features be progressive?

This came up, but not sure how much this is true. European PS4 consoles might be free from freezing issues, and Blue light of something making PS4 a brick for sometime.
 
I've been standing my PS4 up without the stand. Anyone know if that will cause an issue?

Its pretty stable, so unless I were to push it it won't fall. Unless you are merely stating that that's the only real disaster that could come from it (ie no issue with the system not being able to load discs).

If it falls and a disc is spinning in it, good luck.



But if you're sure: No, it shouldn't cause any other problems.
 
That PS3 boot screen is not the original, the later one sucks and they removed the game boot splash screen.
 
Is it true that there isn't any boot-up sound with the PS4? That kind of makes me sad... Wasn't a fan of the PS3 boot-up sound, but the PS1 and 2 were brilliant. Sony should've gone with nostalgia and used the same sounds as either one of their original systems.
 
Anyone watch the PS4 Playroom Twitch shows? I'm currently watching the Spartan Show. Kind of pointless banter but there is 850 people watching right now. They have a number devoted to the show with people calling in an commenting, all while Asobi is flying around and pestering the pregnant wife.

I don't think I'll be bothered using the Twitch service yet, at least not before they add the archive facility.

Thanks for the heads up. I'd been using the US store, but I'd been waiting for the UK store to go live so I could grab the PS plus games.
 
The only time i hear my PS4 make any noise is when I first turn it on! Have played a solid 5 hrs straight and still no fan or any noise! Hope it stays that way!




PS. My PS4 is laying flat, but on a grated stand!
 
£62.99 for NFS Rivals? That's just a mash-up of Hot Pursuit (2010) and Most Wanted (2012) with shinier lighting and EA have the cheek to charge a massive premium for it.
 
I absolutely hate EA, they charge top dollar for broken products that they don't even bother to patch. 👎
I hate how no games review company ever picks them out on this as well.
 
PS4 games available on PSN are shockingly shockingly expensive !!! This does not make any sense at all !!!

If they did, they'd be bought out the next day and replaced by loyalist from EA. People have families to feed, so they let EA slide, but I agree EA is horrid.
