Try out done kontrol freaks. They'll protect the stick and make it a much much better controller. I can't play a shooter or racing game without them anymore. They're worth their worth the few dollars they cost.
I agree. I have been using them for years. So much so that I can not adjust to using the original joysticks anymore. I am absolutely horrible without them.

I use them for every game I play, but the differences are more noticeable with shooting and racing games.

Yea i tgink i saw those selling for around 7 € around 10dollars i think.

Thank you for your info

One of my controllers is starting to show thin peeling on the left stick. I'm pretty gentle with my controllers and haven't actually played PS4 all that much since GT6 came out. The last week I've been playing non-stop Resogun though and today was the first I've noticed it.

Mine was also the "left" analog stick ! The right one was like a F1 tire , sliiiicks haha

Ups, sorry for double post . :(

you play fifa 14 or BF4 or COD ? play for hours per day...?

I have quite a few games but the two that spring to mind as most likely to damage the sticks would be BF4 and Resogun. I play Resogun all the time. I'm not saying my DS4 is perfect though. The R2 button is very rough around the edge and has been like that since I got it. Fortunately, it's not in a location where my finger ever touches it, so it's no big deal.

Ok :)

Ya i like Resogun too !

Here's the one I use for my right stick. http://www.kontrolfreek.com/fps/fps-freek-snipr.html

I use this one on the left but only because my finger slips of easy and this has a lot better grip. http://www.kontrolfreek.com/fps/fps-freek-cqc-signature.html/

The added height the sniper ones add is weird for a round or so. But the added range of motion adds a lot better precision. I moved my sensitivity up a good bit with them. It's crazy how much better they make aiming.

For driving I move the sniper to the left stick and it really helps to nit be as twitchy. They really are worth it. Their customer service is also great. I ordered 4 sets and one was wrong. They shipped the right ones the next day and I had them in 2 days.

Has anyone tried out don't starve yet? played a bit yesterday and I know the game doesn't tell you what to do but I died on my first night lol. I learn't from this and made a fire the next time I tried lasted till day 5 then got killed by a swamp monster thing.

That's crazy these PS4 controllers are already wearing out. :scared: I have never seen the thumbstick wear out on any of the controllers on any system I have owned. At least they are replacing them for free. 👍

I haven't played it yet but I plan to play it after I'm done with Resogun. It sounds interesting.

I wore out a couple 360 controllers. The left thumbstick would get play around the center in it and would not pull itself back to dead center. The last one to do it was a wired controller so that really sucked. It was the one I used for PC too. I really need to hit eBay and get another one while their still around. I'm the only person I know though that had this problem. I don't know if I was in lucky or just was doing something weird with them.

I've had my PS4 since launch and my controller has no noticeable wear at all on it. The ones that are wearing out certainly aren't the norm, the PS4 has sold over 4 million units already so if it were normal we'd be seeing a whole lot more about it. This is the first time I'm hearing about it and I'm also on a forum pretty much dedicated to PlayStation.

I've had two DS3s die on me due to the stick collars cracking (too much GT I fear.)

Yeah, first I've heard of this too - ours is doing just fine also. bad for those who have a problem but thankfully it doesn't seem to be 'the norm'.

I'm beginning to see some wear on the Left stick of our DS4. We don't use the DS4 any more regularly than we used the DS3. Give it another few weeks and I think I'll be able to see the inner plastic 👎.

Disgraceful considering a new one costs £55+ where I live.

Its hard! Also made day 5. I forget what killed me tho.

I may have a pretty much brand new wired 360 controller. Im going away tomorrow for a couple days. Send me a message on monday reminding me.to look for it.

Sorry forndouble post

I've played it for a few hours so far. My first game only lasted twenty seconds after I decided to try to kill a bee. I actually managed to kill it, but then I was killed by a swarm that appeared out of nowhere. My second game lasted until day 6. I was too busy trying to craft something while it became night and I was killed. That was a real shame, as I later found out that I had the perfect world generated. I had set up camp in a wooded area with plenty of berries and a ton of rabbit holes nearby. There was also a wormhole next to my camp that took me to an area full of rock to mine.

Since then, I've realized that success in the game really depends on how the world generates. At least initially. My current game has seen me survive until day 11, but despite exploring a huge chunk of the map, I've found very little rock.

I'm not impressed with the console that much.. nor the controller. The battery dies way too fast. At least it charges modoarately quickly

I'll keep an eye on mine, had mine since Xmas day and don't play on it too much, will probably pick it up more once I got the GT6 platinum and the updates/content dies down for it.

Wow that many already? That's really bad. :nervous:
I'm assuming you mean more than the few people who mentioned it here...out of 4.2 million that isn't really very much at all - like I said, bad if it's happening to you, but there is apparently a replacement programme set up for this.

The rubber on my ds4 actually split in half . I superglued it. Worked fine for a couple of days then fell apart again. Superglued it again and its been fine for 2 weeks now.

Sony hasnt made a durable controller since the DS2, Im thinking it could be a scam to get people to rebuy them. The DS3 only lasted just a bit longer then a madcatz one.

Anyways dont starve is fun once you figure it out. I keep dying around day 15 because of hell hounds but im ready for them now. Butterflys cure you its good to keep a few in your inventory at all times. Also stay at full health as often as possible

That's honestly hilarious. I don't know how you can stick with that because I'd be going nuts. And I thought the DS2 and DS3 were great controllers durability wise.. ergonomics is another thing though.

You must be really rough with your controllers or just plain unlucky. I bought my ps3 shortly after release and two out of the three controllers I bought still work perfectly. It came with a sixaxxis, which works perfectly, but only gets used for local multiplayer due to the lack of rumble. The first ds3 I bought died after getting soaked in water but the second one still works perfectly. It's been dropped countless times during the 1000's of hours I've used it. No problems with the battery either.

The battery life on the DS4 is poor also. I wish you could turn off/down the light on the front because I bet that would save loads of battery power 👍

I disagree. I bought a 60gb PS3 on launch day and the SixAxis that came with it still works perfectly. I also bought a DS3 the day they were launched as well and aside from slightly looser analog sticks, everything works perfectly on that as well. I've also had my PS4 since launch and the DS4 is showing no signs of wear either. I'm not an exception either, all my real life friends have no problems with their controllers and a PlayStation forum I'm on (PSNProfiles) hasn't had anyone complain about them either.

Admittedly, the battery life is poor in comparison to the ds3, but it still gets around 9 or 10 hours, which isn't bad. I'm going to buy a 5m charging cable like I did for my ps3. I don't mind playing wired as long as the wire is long enough.

Don't Starve is so much better than I anticipated. First game I died the first night venturing too far from the fire. Second game I made it like 3 days. My record so far is 21 days and I died during the winter after some monster dogs attacked me. It's taking me a while but I'm figuring out what are priorities for gathering and what need to be built as soon as possible. Give it a shot if you have PS Plus.
