Hi guys, thought I'll make a thread on this event and share my experience since I couldn't find any other. My brother applied for the tickets through GTP and wow was it worth it!
There were many great games to play at the event such as Killzone 3 in 3D, Little Big Planet 2, Tiger Woods golf with move and some others but obviously the thing that caught my attention the most was the GT5 competition. It was set up as a standard 2 lap arcade mode style race around Trial Mountain in a Nissan GT-R '07. The fastest time overall from the 3 day event wins a pair of tickets to the UEFA Champions league final plus a GT hoody lol.
Anyway, I like to think of myself of being a pretty hand racer in GT5 so I thought I'l give it my best shot to beat the current record of 3:14. My first lap went well but at the start of the second lap heading in to the first and second turn I took too much speed and almost lost it, though it lost me a few seconds I was impressed with my final time of 3:09.886
. I didn't get too excited because there was still 1 more day of the event and I was hoping no one from GT academy was attending lol. But today on the Playstation Access fan page on Facebook they confirmed the overall winner was me, my lap was unbeaten!
Really excited since I've never won a competition before and if I did want to win any this would definitely be the one! Was there anyone else from GTP who attended this event? What did you think of it? And if you set a lap what was it?
A huge shout out to GTP for bringing this event to my brothers attention!
