I just want to re-point out that the new Watchmen clothes are out and they're FREE.:)

What A ‘Home’ Press Conference Looks Like

Sony held a small Q&A session with journalists in “Home” yesterday with “Watchmen” director Zack Snyder and artist Dave Gibbons, but if you missed the live stream, there are pictures of what a “Home” press conference looks like.

Ain’t It Cool News
was one of the select publications asked to boot up a PlayStation 3 and take place in an “Home” yesterday.

The journalists were given the chance to ask “Watchmen” director Zack Snyder and artist Dave Gibbons questions about the geek film…in “Home.”

That’s what a “Home” press conference looks like, folks.

Archived video of the Q&A hasn’t surfaced yet, but if you’re interested in listening to the audio — including Synder discussing the fate of the mythical “Giant Squid” from the comic — there’s a copy online right here.

BTW: Harry Knowles is easy to spot... although as in real life, his avatar has also lost a great deal of weight. 👍

 at the press conference.:p

Only 1 month until the awesome EA Sports game space, I can't wait.:D

Speaking of Q&A sessions on Watchmen, Warner Bros. just had one yesterday in the PlayStation Blog, and they posted the transcript for those interested.

There was also another Q&A session in Home yesterday for Street Fighter IV. It was open to the public in the Gamer’s Lounge between 7pm and 9pm (PST), with an opportunity for an invite to an upcoming private Q&A session:

To qualify for the private chat, make sure you attend the general Q&A decked out in the Dan Saikyo shirt (unlockable in Home). Attendees sporting this hot reward will be entered into a drawing and then chosen at random to participate. If you make the list, we’ll send you details via private message in your XrossMediaBar regarding the time and date of the follow-up session.

Finally, while I have not checked, apparently CAPCOM has just released yet another space in Home, only this time for Resident Evil 5:

We’re launching the Resident Evil 5 game space tomorrow, March 5th. So dress yourself up in that free Resident Evil gear available in the Mall, check out the new space, and learn more about the game before it launches later this month. We’ll be looking out for you!

This is for the game The End is Nigh, not the movie. And I watched the chat live. He had the gall to respond to questions concerning the $20 price tag by saying that it was in line with the pricing of other downloadable titles and that it was of his personal opinion that it was actually a low price.

Then he also said that they changed things to make it better, cooler and more lively. - I see the movie and game had separate goals.

More stuff is officially available in Home now, plus Home Square has been slightly changed and now includes an R/C Helicopter game.
From Threads in the Shopping Centre you can get the Street Fighter IV costumes (at a price) and from the 2nd floor furniture store you can get some Watchmen ornaments for free.

Sony Details PlayStation Home Updates

Sony Computer Entertainment shared details today on the next set of major updates for the PlayStation Home virtual world service. The service will see an update today, to be followed by another one next week.

Today's update adds a lounge for Irem's PS3 download title Minna de Spelunker. Visitors to this lounge will be able to access a special statue in order to kick off a multiplayer play session.

The Minna de Spelunker lounge.

The next update, set for the 26th, appears to be far more substantial. The main piece of content for this day is an updated Resident Evil 5 Photo Studio. Users will have access to a mini game which will be playable simultaneously by multiple players, with Home Rewards being on the line.

New items are on the way on the 26th as well. Inside the RE5 Photo Studio, users will find a special shop called Adam's Shop. This shop will sell costumes from RE5's main characters Chris and Sheva. This will be the first time Home has offered in-lounge shops.

The Resident Evil 5 Photo Studio mini game.

Adam's shop, the first in-lounge shop for Home.

Street Fighter IV fans will be able to purchase items for the fighter using the more standard Home channels. Items themed around E. Honda, Zangeif, Dhalsim, and Blanka, will be available on the 26th.

Those who want some free goodies should enter Home today. Sony will be offering Home Rewards themed around Resistance and Gomibako to those who respond to a survey.

Enter Home today you say? I wonder if the survey comes up automatically, if at all.

Edit: I went into Home and as normal they're full of crap, no survey, no free stuff.

Maybe you should check which region of Home you are looking around in next time you claim "they're full of crap"... or check various PS Home forums if you need some specific guidance.

Any way...

XI HAS BEGUN!
Published on Mar 23, 2009 by CydoniaX // PlayStation Home Community Manager

The world’s first console-based Alternate Reality Game starts today in PlayStation Home.

Called Xi , the adventure takes place in a series of secret areas in Home – and beyond – changing day by day, week by week, in real time. Anyone with a PLAYSTATION 3 can join in the fun for free – in English, French, Italian, German or Spanish.

To discover the mystery of Xi, simply log on to PlayStation Home and look for the graffiti on the wall in the main square. Find that, and all will be revealed….

It's actualy quite good! took me about half an hour to get through todays part and even had me googleing (is that a word?) to find a pasword.........I can't say anymore as it'll spoill the puzzle for others! There's an underground "bunker" if you like then 3 areas that you can teleport to (or can you......) plus a second enterance in hoe square (again I'm being vauge) the plot to the adventure is quite well thought out and you have to work to get to the results, it's not very hard (yet) but it's certainly not easy so it's rewarding when you get through it.

UH OH, I have big problems.:nervous: I tried entering The Hub and every time it loaded up I got instantly DC'ed, so I can't do anything in Home. I exited and tried again, still not working!:( Curse my infernally dodgy connection!

Also, I only just discovered The Manhole in Home Square (Slow on the uptake? Maybe ), apparently nobody knows what it is yet.

Edit: Now The Hub doesn't even load up to give me a chance to be DC'ed. Does anybody know what I can do?:nervous: Is there any way I can contact the people who run Home and notify them of this?:scared:

I had a similar problem with the clubhouse, have you tried deleting home then re downloading it? it's not a huge file but it is a pain but should dolve the problem.

I managed to get out for now, but I didn't really see deleting Home as an option. My slow connection would take hours to get everything back, and my apartment wouldn't be the same.:(

Is there a club setup on HOME for GT users?

No, there's nothing yet for GT games, but there will almost definitely be in the near future as we've seen the racing pods in Home for GT, but can't get them at the moment.

Yes, there are. You can search for them with your Home PDA. In fact, Jordan created an official GTPlanet Club, but I believe it is currently full.

Just doing a quick search on this site, here are some related threads:
Keep in mind most of these clubs were created during the closed beta, and may not have been re-started after the open beta. Also clubs are regional, so you'll have to be using a PSN ID for the region the club you are interested was created in.

In addition, some clubs are not very active, other than used as a general meeting place in Home for private group discussions. Granted, you can do the same thing in a personal space, but then the owner has to individually invite each participant... where as with a club, all members can come and go as they please.

Oh sorry, my mistake, I thought he meant like a specialised Gran Turismo room where you can launch races from or something. Yeah, there are clubs created by GT users for GT users, but in all reality there's nothing to do there in them yet.

Wow, look at this, Sony expecting 3 new spaces a month!
And to start off - Guitar Hero space tomorrow.

Cool!👍 I hope they don't all disconnect on me like The Hub does.:ouch: I probably won't even use more than half of them tbh, specific game spaces I haven't been bothering with yet, unless it's got something really fun in it, or it's a game I like.;)
