Ok i am really hoing that someone else has come accross this too.
I run my PS3 on an old fassioned CRT tv screen and the new playstation store really looks bad is slow to load (not the fault of my tv) you cant really make out the icons very well and all in all a bad update i think.
Does anybody that runs there PS3 in full HD have the same issues as really cant stand going to the store now to look for new stuff. Looks awful, am not happy with this update.

That out of the way, yes, it is slow, but on my HD it looks fine. Images and text all show up and are legible. I think that Sony is, rightfully, in my opinion, banking on the fact that everyone who throws down $400USD for a PS3 already has an HDTV and made the store to look best on said HDTV.
 
It looks fine on my SDTV. But then again, it is 48 inches.
 
Mine looks fine, and it's a 26 inch CRT, only time it's hard to see is when the light is shining on it :p

Well, before I had an HDTV, I played my ps3 on an sdtv, and it was very hard to read the writing and stuff. Just because the tv was low quality. I will say though, it helps if your tv is flatscreen, even if its still SD, a flat screen helps a lot.
 
I used to play my PS3 on a CRT 27' screen. The writing was so small I strained my eyes to read it, seriously upgrade yourself to a larger HD LCD or Plasma screen. It will help you so much and improve your gaming experience. 👍
