So if I have all the patches and I still cannot play online or connect with the server what would you advise I do? Have I been cut off by PD due to bandwidth issues on my end? I am running DSL with an average of 1.32mb/s download and .83mb/s upload. ping 67ms.

I have had the game from day 1 and still need to disable internet in order to play at all...

Please help.

Thanks

You have to get your DNS numbers from your ISP, which can be found in a number of places. Then you have to set up your network manually through the XMB, You can do auto for the IP address and such but you have to manually enter the 2 DNS numbers. Once you do this it will connect.

--- is the online set up for GT5 really that much different then all the other online stuff through the PS3? I do have the most recent firmware for the PS3, to answer the previous question. I'll try this although I am not super confident that I will see an impact. My issue seems to only be getting online with GT5.

All of my online settings are accurate. I can get online just fine, Just not with GT5. PLEASE HELP!!

I had the same problem...it depends on your router/firmware combo...just add Google's DNS server to your Playstations network settings; 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4...this worked for me
