Would anyone have any issues with moving this weekends race timetable foward 1 hour?

So room will open at 13:00
Practice at 13:30
Qualifying at 14:45
Race start at 16:00
So can finish about 20:00 and not 21:00

Will also send message on PSN for those that are not on GTP often :)

if you had the races on the Saturday your time that's Sunday morning my time that would be perfect for me Mick time does not matter on that day.

 that doesn't really answer my question

I can't move the race by a whole day (got TOCA Sat eve, and I done very well at a wet Monza last week :D) but perhaps that is something to look at for the next series I host 👍

socalspeedfreak, you will need to send ma an friend request on PSN :) 👍

Also social if you enjoy endurance racing then check the link in my signature and post there any thoughts 👍

Hi Mick I was wondering if we could use more sport or comfort tyres for street cars and racing hard tyres for race cars as the racing soft tyres have too much grip and are a bit to easy to drive.

I am guessing that is in the wrong thread

CONFIRM TIME CHANGE FOR THIS WEEKEND!!!!!!!!!

New timetable:
Room open:13:00
practice: 13:30-14:30
Qualifying: 14:45-15-45
Race: 16:00-20-00

See you all at Le Mans 👍 :)

So I just done a very few laps and on my only full lap done a 3.51.282 I know that will be beaten as it wasn't a perfect lap and wasn't a perfect setup on the car 👍

Has anyone else done any laps?

Mikey, I´ve done a few today, my best time was a 3:49:090 :)
But it´s still improvable! I´m really looking forward to the race :) :tub:

That time is possible in my car but didn't have time to keep going, only got a few laps to put somekind of setup on the car

Hi Mikey. Just thought i'd post my thoughts on today's race.

I was pretty happy when it turned out that my car seemed to be kinder on its tyres than yours and Kimsters (or so it seemed - correct me if i'm wrong). I thought as you're both generally faster than me, I could maybe pass you by making less pit stops.

By lap 26 this seemed to be the case, as i'd caught both of you up and passed you, and I was starting to gain a gap from 4th place. But then unfortunately Kimster was disconnected, and it was decided to restart the race, and this is where I have a bit of an issue.

Although it may have seemed fair to restart and let Kimster rejoin, I felt it ruined my race because the gap I had previously gained was taken away at the restart. I know it may seem harsh, but I think it would be fairer for everyone if we abandoned the restart rule. Instead, if you unfortunately get disconnected, then it's the end of your race. I don't think it's fair to disrupt everybodys race for one person, whoever it may be. I personally would be happy to let people carry on racing if I was disconnected.

It would be interesting to see what other people think?

I understand that the restart disrupted your race and in hindsight was needless as Kimster disconnected again only a few laps in from the restart but the problem is that if in a different situation, like a mass DC or the DC of a major championship contender that far into the race could make the difference in the title chase. This is why I think this rule should be in place and will be very unfortunate on the people that lose out but 'red flag' situations are a part of racing although usualy used for a major incident or severe weather, so in a sense we are lucky that in the virtual world there is only this 1 reason that a red flag could be used.

As for this race I am happy to award you points for 3rd (position at restart) as it became clear that the restart was not needed due to Kimster disconnecting again 👍

Fair enough. Personally I would only have the restart rule for mass DC. But I know how it would feel if you weren't allowed to rejoin and it cost you the championship, so I can understand why you don't want to change it.

Will there be weather switched on in the remaining races?

Also to be honest with you all I am starting to feel that this series has become more of a chore than something I am enjoying doing :( with less drivers attending each week :( I have other things in mind and am thinking that I may call it a day on this and bring some of my other ideas foward in a hope that I can get more drivers signed up and get more interesting races.

It is a bit of an awkward situation to know what to do in that situation :(

If we compleate the series then the only other weather track is Nurburgring :nervous:

I don't blame you to be honest. I was pretty disappointed with today's turnout. Most people have been pretty reliable though. I think it's more a case of not enough people in the championship to start with

Yea and thats the problem :(

Sorry I could not make it mick but I think at least it was a good reason but I can work with only like 2 or 3 hours sleep id just be stuffed so sorry all who attend but I need more then a few hours sleep for work.

It's fine mate you had a reason and gave me notice 👍

It's more the fact that at the start of it all there were 12 signed up and straight away at the 1st race that was nearly halved, I have been trying to get extra interest and drivers even for just 1 race ever since. Then to have 6 drivers attend yesterday with Dj stopping 15 min in and Kimster DC'ing at about half way through twice leaving just 4 on track with the closest split time being 45 seconds for 1st to 2nd it seemed pointless all 4 of us driving around the track for the next hour on our own and may just have been the nail in this series coffin, but we shall see 👍

You´re having just the same thoughts about the championship like me. It´s really disappointing when there are some drivers who REALLY enjoy racing, and the other ones who have signed in just don´t appear to the races. I hope that ERAN, DJ, and IWIN are doing the next race again, because (even when you have something better to do) it´s bad to sign in and not to appear in the races nevertheless.

It is really disappointing to have so few drivers but the big part of the problem is that we don't have many to start with so if 1 or 2 can't get there we really feel it :(

In IWN's case he had given me prior notice of not attending.
Dj got there and quit (again, don't think he has finished a race yet)
Eran I think has changed his mind on competing with us as he changed his mind at the last race and then didn't show this race :(

As I have stated I am considering not continuing as we have so few drivers and have the GT series in mind and am going to try to set that in motion further and as we speak am getting all I need for a sign up thread that will be up by the end of the week and if it gets interest fast the will stop this declare you champion and get going with WGT 💡

OK guys here is my decision.

I am going to end this now and declare RS the champion

Congrats to RS 👍 very dominant in your car :D

I have spent all day working on a new idea (some of you have seen the ideas thread) and have got the signup thread open :D check it out 👍

It´s a bit of a shame to end it this way, but well, what can we do without the reliability from the drivers... :(
