Please Help Me Out

Im really starting to get into GT3 and lately I have been seeing stuff about hybrids and how you can give cars thousands of HP with them, and I have seen game saves with all the cars. I know I need a SharkPort to do this. What I was wondering was is this all I need to use hybrids and game saves, or is there anything else I need. And I was wondering were I can find one because places ive checked say there out of stock or the product has been discountinued. Any help would be appriciated. Thanks.
 
If you live in north america, yes, you want a *Sharkport. If your in europe,. you want an *X-port.

After that, it's a simple, free, dowload of MK's garage editor that will get you on 'track' :lol: 👍

Because the visual format is coded different (PAL=Europe - NTSC=N. America).

I'm not technical expert, so I cant explain the major differences,... but thats how, and why it is so.
 
Ok thanks guys. Ill pick one up somewere. Like you said Supra you dont need them, but Ive been wanting to try them, I have one memory card that I have a normal game going, and another for misc stuff like drfting.
 
Yeah Teck,... you want one.... with it,. your PC becomes one, giant memory card 👍 AND, you can trade any PS/2 file with anyone (though I've heard GTAVC doesnt work),. inclusding GT3 replays :D It's only like $30 and you can get them at Best Buy, Circuit City, ect....
 
Sharkports have been discontinued. There are still some in the stores, so if u can find one, buy one. They are being replaced by the Xport(NTSC version), so if U see one of those in the store that will work too. If u order one online make sure it's NTSC and not PAL. This is of course assuming your using the NTSC version? Since U haven't put your location in your profile, I can only assume since U started off asking about the sharkport, that U have NTSC.
 
Supra is just jealous or something man :p dont worry about him. Hybrids are fun. I build them in my free time and use them whenever Im bored. Alot of people think alot of us build them to help us win races. A majority of us dont though there are a few that use them to their advantage. I think hybrids are great.

If you live in N.America you can use a Sharkport or an X-port which has been made for the NTSC format like Heydu said. You will be able to upload game saves to your computer from your memory card and even send it to people or post it as well. It makes your computer a Big Ass memory card :p. Not only can you make hybrids, you can also unlock the hidden cars in the game like the Nomad Diablo, Porche 911 GT3, Stratos, etc...
 
Thanks for the replies guys. And yes, I have the US NTSC PS2. Could anyone post a link to somewere were I can buy either a Sharkport or the X-Port? Thanks a ton.

You unlock the cars how ?
 
You get a X-Port, then hook it to the PS2, then upload garage saves from the internet to the memory card. Thats what I did and I love having all the cars :)
 
Master Blaster use the search button man, its in here. Just upload your garage to MKS. First buy some cheap cars like the Mira, that way you can change them into the hidden cars. Upload you garage, open in MKS. Highlight one of the Mira's (or a car you dont want) and right click and hit change car. A pop up box will appear with a list of cars. Just look for them there. Change all of the cars you dont like into ones you want or into hybrids. Then click 'Write Garage' and save it. Then upload your new garage into your memory card...
