gibbo.

Which Sarthe are you doing? That would help. Then you put Super Hards on the back and Hards on the front that way they wear at the same rate. Then you B-Spec on x3 so it take 12 hours instead of 24.

Then you R-Tune it to her channel and your channel and check back every half hour. You shouldn't be hogging the TV, she can still watch it.

Great math. :dunce:

Using the F1 in the 24hrs at La Sarthe I? Not much for competition, huh?

I am currently running this same race with the same car (Toyota Minolta) I have Super Hards all the way around. You have to tune the car considerably though. Use VERY soft springs (helps with the big bumps) and use mid-level wing settings. Set your gearbox high because the car with Stage 4 turbo will still get up to about 250mph before braking for the chicanes.

As far as your wife, can't you switch the inputs on the TV to check in to your race during a commercial or something? Doesn't make any sense why she can't watch TV while you are B-spec-ing your race. Who really cares about the X3 time advance, just leave it alone and check in tomorrow. You should have the R8 waiting for you.

My credits r tallying up for this race as we speak. I used the F1 car because it doesn't wear and I don't have to worry about not winning.
And as a side note, this was my last enduro race to do and Im surprised my ps2 made it since it's already three years old. Props to it!

its the la sarthe 24 hour. i got hard on front and super hard on the rear. i aint winning it at all. even on push hard and overtake x3. im using the minolta... and its going no where for the first time ever for me! is this the wrong car? other cars are going further without pitting. Im making sure i pit every half fuel load at times for extra speed and to get more out the tires. Works normally 100% but in this race i got nothing! help !!!!!!!

The F1 owns this race. 👍

ty guys im trying your advice right now. will post in a couple of hours and let you know if there is success. ty all again, games on now!!
long live gt4 !!

Gibbo, there are 2 La Sarthe Endurances. One with chicanes, one without. With the one without chicanes, you're B-spec driver (mine names Malle Henkie (Crazy Little Hank)) somehow manages to crash into the wall at the straight. With the one with the chicanes (La Sarthe I), he doesn't do this.

Besides using the F1, is there any car I can use stock that'll win?
The Minolta Stock killed the 787B, R390, GT-ONE, R8, V12 LMR, Pescarlos, XJR-9, Peugeot super car,and Toyota 7 in the Super Speedway.

So can the Minolta stock take on a Speed 8? Or any other LMPs?

you dont need an F1 to win, sarthe I or II. Minolta is enough. just make sure theres no big HP loss on it and sometimes guide him through the corners so he doesnt spin out. if he's not too bad of a driver he should win.

the minolta can pretty much take on anything, except the F1, as long as your driver is good. my driver beat the Sauber C9 on sarthe II yesterday with a 923PS minolta.

I'd like to keep the Minolta stock and do plan on raciny myself while helping out my B-Spec driver. However, I think the hardest thing he's done is race the 1000 miles Opera Paris race.

I plan on using him for the next race at Cote D' Azur and the last race if there is one. He has less than 5000 B-Spec points. Maybe less than 3500.

Even though some people might disagree with my opinion...
If you're doing a 24 hour race, you might as well get Nurburgring out of the way first, because the competition is 10 times easier and the prize car is crazy good (F1). You're probably going to do it eventually anyways, I'd say do that race first, then overtake 4 with the F1 on LeSarthe throughout the entire race(works on both enduros).

I found my F1 car to wear down it's tires to quickly and it would pit after 2 laps. So I haven't used the F1 for any Endurance Races yet.
What tires are you using?

Super Racing hard on the back, and Racing Hard should work.

Malle Henkie LOL

Mine did that too, but until now just once. I'm currently at about 13,5 hours into the 24h and my Stig is in lap 246 and has finally lapped the number 2 car (Mazda rotary, cool car btw) about 10 laps ago. I'm running the Nissan R92CP with superhards on rear and hard up front. It's set to speed 3 and overtake. That's it, tomorrow I'll have a nice R8 added to the collection 👍

How do you change it's tires? I thought you couldn't. I've never changed it's oil either. It's still stock.
First you need to buy them of course and you can change them in the screen before the race. It's the toolbox icon you go to also for changing the gearing and stuff. Car setup screen. The tires are in the first column.

Will do the La Sarthe I and Nurburgring Endurances this week I think. Maybe with the Nurburgring, which I'm planning to do with my BMW McLaren F1 GTR Race Car or my Falken Nissan Skyline GTR Race Car, I'll drive most of it myself. Nurburgring is one of my fave tracks now, and one of my best tracks. :)

Doesn't have much faith in Malle Henkie... Have B-specced the DTM today 8 times, everytime on Opera Paris, he crashed into the wall, giving away wins and podium places. That's stupid. One time at Midfield, he was 10 secs ahead or so, one lap later when I look again, he's 5th... Stupid driver... So, guess I'll do much of the Nurburgring myself. And La Sarthe I probably too. Have enough cars for it, bought myself a R390 GT1 Race Car and a 787B Race Car today. So plenty to choose from. Guess it'll be the 787B for me at La Sarthe I.:)

I know how to change tires but I just don't know where to buy them for the F1. I thought the F1 didn't have a home, making it impossible to change anything.

Same here.

My McLaren will be put to good use.

hey mclaren, the mclaren won't do u any good in the LeSarth races, ur up against the Sauber C9 and 787B and stuff like that. Go win u the MINOLTA or something and use it.

Make sure you do a body refresher pre-race. If the body is a little tweaked youll be screwed late in the race bc the car wont be able to keep control above 200 MPH, so youll lose mass time on the straights.

Just get a good car (any good LMP- audi R8, minolta, either nissan etc) and just max out its HP then put super hard in back, hard in front, and run the race on 4 with overtake... even running three will work.

I did this with my R8 (with 6k miles on it pre race) and won by 9 laps...
