Hey guys,

I am not a pro at the game yet, but I've won my share. I got a tip from the Official PS Mag to get the EVO IV and juice it up. I did and improved it quite a bit. I got it up to 577hp. I have raced it quite a bit (I have over 600 miles on it) and a few times on the SS endurance. I give it regular oil changes, but the hp has dropped to 565. Why is this happening?

Also, I had heard that you can only have one of each prize car in your garage at a time. I know this now not to be true, because I won the Tickford back-to-back in the SS endurance. I WANT THAT F1 CAR!

Lastly, how do I get my EVO to handle like a race car? I would appreciate ANY pointers.

Matt

The HP drops over the life of the car, slow it with frequent oil changes.

Hey, the HP drop is common with any car in the game. Just have to deal with it as it don't really make that much difference.

As for the tuning of the EVO, well thats all in the track and the driver. As a rule of thumb that I use, keep the car lower on race tracks and normal on the dirt tracks. Keep your ratio at about 2/3 for maxium performance. Other members will have their own opinion on this, but this is the setup thats works for me.

Hope this helps you.

Horsepower changes throughout the game. Some go up, some go down. I have an escudo with 2000 miles on it, and its remained constant for the last 1000. (1843)

Your Evo will never handle like a race car. You can make it handle BETTER by stiffening the springs shocks and stabilizers. If you have it set up to rally, dont bother street racing it. If you street race it, dont rally it. You can save your car settings and toggle back and forth, but its a pain in the ass.

To street race, drop your ride height to the minimum front and back. (it still has clearance) stiffen your springs 10% at a time until you are comfortable with them, but before you start pushing through turns. Adjust your wheel settings in small increments. Rally cars can benefit tremendously from LOTS of rear wheel camber.
