Please help with Wheel Stand.

I have a Logitech Driving Force GT wheel and am shopping for the sturdiest Wheel Stand available under 200$.

Going by by the numbers posted on the websites, below is how much each stand weighs (I am assuming a heavier stand might be more stable):

1 - Fanatec RennSport Wheel Stand - weight: ~ 17.4 lbs [~ 7.9 kg] .

2 - Wheel Stand Pro - Weighs Thirteen pounds shipping weight.

3 - Cockpit Extreme Racing EXR-S PRO FORCE GT - 22pounds approximately.

4 - HR by DCM - Home Racing Starting Pack:

Anyone use wheel number 3 or 4 ?

I am leaning towards Wheel number 1 as it seems to be readily available and weighs more than wheel number 2.

No experience with any but the Rennsport and it's quite sturdy. I bought it for a friend for Xmas when it was on sale for $70. He has his CSR E and ClubSport pedals mounted to it. He's quite happy with its sturdiness and adjustability.

I have the wheel stand pro with the DFGT cant fault it tbh sturdy easy to fold away etc cant comment on the others however.:)

I have both, wheelstand pro (with TM RGT without clutch pedal) and rennsport wheelstand (with GT3RS+CSP).

For the DFGT or any other wheel with only 2 pedals I would recommend the WSP. These pedals do not fit very well to the RSWS because of the gap between the two metal parts at the bottom (where the pedals are placed on). The rubber feet of the pedal-set are exactly in that gap.

Both stands are good quality. I own the RSWS for 6 month now and it has some play on the vertical tube. The WSP is only one week old and solid as a rock. No idea how it behaves after 6 months...

Since there is no advantage on the RSWS in regard to the DFGT I would go for the WSP. It is 109€ incl. shipping, the Fanatec stand costs 129€ excl. shipping. And they ship very fast. I had mine in 2 days (Poland to the Netherlands).

With a different wheel it might be a different story!

Best regards.

I have a Rennsport wheelstand with CSR-E wheel and Clubsport pedals mounted to it and the whole assembly weighs 44 pounds. Extremely stable and rock solid. I don't know how much it would weigh with a DFGT setup. The one thing to keep a Rennsport wheelstand solid is to really tighten the big hand screw which holds the vertical bar in place. Mine kept coming loose so I used a large pliers and torqued it down really tight and now it doesn't move.

A friend of mine has a Wheelstand Pro with a G27 setup and he says it is also very solid and heavy. He doesn't know how much it weighs, but says it doesn't move around while racing.

I think you will do ok getting either of those wheelstands.

I have the Wheelstand Pro (delux). It's extra sturdy for the T500RS with thicker tubing. I use it on carpet and have never had an issue with it moving around. Along with the T500RS and pedals bolted on it weighs 18KG. On lifting it i can't see that anymore weight would be useful, it would just hinder moving it when not in use.

I'm really happy with my choice of the Wheelstand Pro with no reservations of being able to improve it.

Goodluck with whatever you choose.

Thanks very much, everyone!
Very useful input from all here. Looks like both Wheel Stand Pro and Fanatec Rennsport wheel are equally good and the 4 Lb difference does not amount to much when actually using the wheel.
I will more than likely go with whoever ships faster.
Cheers!
