Please help!

Im new to iracing, computer illiterate. I have downloaded the game with no drama but after getting to the members screen I cannot get to a race.( system not running)It keeps asking me to download the software that I have already done.
Using windows 7, firefox and norton. Can someone help me please, I wanna get racing. Laymans terms would be great too.
 
Try logging out (if you can) and logging back into the service. Or just simply try to restart your PC, that should do it. I think this happened to me once, just make sure you use one web browser and one computer to play the game and not try to open it in several different places. I think thats what happened to me. If that still doesnt work, perhaps deleting cookies or temporary internet files could work. But then you would lose all your pre-saved log ins for other websites.
 
Are you sure the software its asking you to download is the same. The game installs but there are also updates to the tracks and cars that need to be installed as well.
What does the screen look like.?

Red Button that says "Updates Required"?
 
Hey Blaze, i just logged in from work. Looks normal but under where it says "race now" comes up with "service not running download software" and I cannot see any "red" button.

I suspect you don't have the software on your work computer. So it's telling you that
 
Top left on your screen right above the iRacing logo it'll say "System not in service" in yellow, right next to that it says "Download software", click there and make sure everything downloads and installs then refrsh your browser and it should work!
 
Well that didn't work, I have started from scratch again. All goes well until I get to the steering wheel config, hit the button and it then tells me I can't connect to the website. Maybe this is the problem, the first instal i did came up with this aswell but I just skipped passed it. Is the configuration hooked up to a different site?? I have no problem with online gaming with my PS3. It also tells me there is no updates to do. Would the configuration be the problem??
 
That's odd... Never heardof that issue before... Do you have any firewalls that might be blocking the site or something?
 
I now have the system running, but now its telling me to do updates, click on the updates, the screen refreshes and nothing happens, and still telling me to update.
(i got going through internet explorer)
