what is the top speed i can get this car to? tempted to buy it but unsure if its any good.
also, what are your opinions on these cars:
tempest le mans gto
cuda 440 six pack
cougar xr7
camaro ss 69
corvette c2 and c3
chevelle ss 454 70
gt350r

thanks

In Daytona i got it to about 214mph but it was still pulling before the turn so im sure theres more in it. But i've also tweaked the gear ratios extensively so your output might be slightly less.

I've bought all the old muscle cars that I could just because they are awesome! I don't care how they preform, cause I'm that awesome of a driver so I make up for any lack luster performance they come with! :)

I had to buy it seeing as it's one of my all time favourite Muscle Cars. Ever since I bought one in GT2, i've always liked it's outlandish design.

210+ MPH

Paint it "french blue", its the only color for it!

Hey stevezx, when you paint the superbird does the plymouth logo on the side get painted over?

Kinda off-topic but does anybody notice how badly PD screwed up the Superbird's price? I just got one for like 22,xxx credits. Something like that. In real-life only 1,920 were built, which makes them super rare. I was watching Barrett-Jackson the other day (car auction show) and a Superbird was sold for $125,000.

PD thinks all american cars are made for rednecks and that's why the prices are ridiculosly low.
Look at 'Cuda, Superbird, Shelby 350, all in 50000 range +/- 10000 and some random japanese old car I've seen - 200000+, Dome Zero - 500000.

What would be really cool is if PD had put a RM Superbird in the game. Like Petty drove in '70.
And yeah they screwed the pooch on prices for these, as well as most of the American muscle cars.
I have bought all of the muscle cars I have seen either in the OCD or the UCD when I see them. Don't really need 100 different versions of a skyline or RX-7, tho. Just me!

*faints*

Phew...anybody got any water?

Yea, I would definitely like car #43 as a race mod. Richard was just on Barrett-Jackson the other day actually, talking about the Superbird. He had switched from Mopar to Ford in 1967 or '68. Mopar asked him what would it take to switch back, and Petty replied "give me a wing". :D

Me too. Although I also dig Skylines & RX-7s, it's not to the same extent as American muscle. It's so much more fun "hunting" for these treasures than it was to buy them any time we wanted in GT2 and 4.

Yev

I liken PD's pricing to Barrett-Jackson auctions, as well as some muscle car prices I see on the 'net. PD is actually in the ball park a lot of the time, according to what I'm seeing. The Superbird is oddly lowballed, though.

A Dome Zero would probably never appear in such an auction, unless it were private, perhaps. Correct me if I'm wrong, but the Dome was a one-off? This could certainly explain its higher price, as I imagine only very rich oil sultans would try to outbid each other just to have it.

Those Birds really can fly, I managed to get mine rolling end over end twice when I slammed into the wall racing on the Speed Ring.
