PM all contacts

Hello everyone.
Just something I thought I should mention.

OK, so I'm running a league.
With 24+ people, it's a pain to PM all of them one at a time.
Especially while using my iPod.
I noticed that I could add "contacts" a while back, which I did, but you can only PM one contact at a time.
Same thing with social groups, there's no "PM all group members" option.

Is this a feature that Jordan would be able to add?
If not, it makes the contacts feature relatively useless IMO.

Would that be a feature that's too hard to implement?
I realize you can PM 5 members at a time, but why only five?
And if it's a technical issue that prevents you from PMing more than five members at once, could there be an option to send multiple PMs at once?
Could this be a feature for the premiumites?
 
I have a feeling you can only PM 5 at a time as a way to keep any sort of stress off the server. I can't imagine having to send 24+ PMs does the site any good.

Edit* Some websites also do it to keep the spammers from sending multiple advertisements. That may not be the case here, but it's sometimes a reason as well.

OK, then what about PM all friends?
It most likely is to stop spamming and keep away stress.
But with the friends and group, the people you want to send the PMs to have to be willing to receive your PM first, so there is a legitiment reason.
Or perhaps if you made a post count/time being a member to unlock it, like changing the user title.
 
It's not possible to message all of your contacts in vBulletin, though I agree that would be a useful and logical feature to have. I just bumped up the limit for Premium users, so you can send a message to a maximum of 50 people at once - I recommend saving your "mailing list" of usernames and then just copy-and-pasting that as needed. The limits exists for performance reasons and to curtail spam and abuse.
