Hello, i thought about this over the last 2 days, it would be a catch the crims style game.Chase cars, bikes, people on foot etc for any number of reasons. The replay could be from the Heli-cam.What do you think ?.Too risky and too in touch with real life or could it work ?.

S&S.

There is also a Worlds Scariest Police Chases game for PS1, so can be done.Any takers here.

I'd play it if it had a cheat menu and the silly mods that made the game funny to play.

And that bump wasn't necessary.

^Games really can't be used as a deterrent for people. If someone wants to do crazy stuff, a game isn't going to stop them.

Honestly, it should be played from a First Person perspective. Looking at it through a birds eye view doesn't seem like it will work to well.

A four-gen game named Stuntman Ignition has similar cravings. I played it before and it was quite fun.

Same here, that's what made San Andreas even more fun, was the cheats.

I'd definetly purchase/buy this game, it sounds like a different change of a gaming genre for me.

I don't think it would deter people from commiting crimes though..

I don't think that many people would want to play as the police. However, I think the heli cam idea could be interesting if it was almost like a RTS type game, where you are dispatching units to try and stop the criminals. And the criminals could be real people as well, playing from a first person or third person perspective, online or local, whatever floats peoples' boats. Give the criminals some sort of tactical advantage too, maybe the ability to shift between pedestrians on the streets a la Driver:SF to radio to the criminals where the police are headed. It would be difficult to find enough people willing to play the RTS role though, so many people just want a lot of mindless blowing stuff up.

Did San Andreas deter you from committing crimes?

Do you still J-walk and not cross at the traffic lights or stop signs? Yes? YOU BREAKING THE LAW!!!

Your good -.-

But what games really deter you from commiting crimes which are available in the game? I certainly haven't heard of any.

And I still J-walk occasionally :sly:

This game could be set in the early 70's to the 90's as a long career for a policeman or policewoman.Driving cars and motorbikes such as Cortina GXL's, Range Rovers, Rover SD1's, Vauxhall Cavaliers, Vauxhall Carltons and other panda cars. Here you get to compete online for the most results and the biggest crimes, which have to be thought out thoroughly.

You should check out Tactical Intervention, currently in development by one of the (or just the) developers of the original Counter Strike mod. Not quite police, more counter terror, but there's a car chase mode in that which is apparently inspired by films like The French Connection, Ronin and The Bourne Identity's car chases. I'll post a link sometime but I'm not going to be at my computer for a while. Also I apologise if it's been mentioned since I last refreshed this thread, which was a few hours back.
