It would totally ruin the purpose of spending more money buying the signature and collector's editions of GT5.Why not?
Not if you already bought the sig/collectors editions...as he did say he already had them. They would just have to make them untradeable if they are not already (I have standard edition). It would totally ruin the purpose of spending more money buying the signature and collector's editions of GT5.
They are untradeable yes... And a fresh pair of Stealths/Chrome Lines would make no sense. Not if you already bought the sig/collectors editions...as he did say he already had them. They would just have to make them untradeable if they are not already (I have standard edition).
By the way - for grins I went to sell an RX-7 TC just purchased from the NCD to see what the used price was, and it wouldn't let me sell it or delete it... I found that rather strange...
Yeah, it could be a problem when you get several cars that are stuck in your garage that are old and busted...
ToronadoThere is a thread about it, actually.
One thing to keep in mind is that the Stealths and Chromelines both work considerably differently from how the current DLC works (for example, they are tied to the Game Data and the current DLC is tied to the Save Data; and they automatically show up in your garage whereas the current DLC does not), so PD would probably have to make major changes to them to get them to work the same way.
ToronadoThe new DLC is completely separate from the Game Data. If you delete your Game Data and reinstall everything, when you finally get back into the game all the new DLC would be exactly as you left it so long as you make sure to install all of the updates.
I know this from experience, because I did the same thing when the first DLC came out to restore my Stealth cars to 0/0/0 when I got the NSX and GT-R Stealth models. Just make sure that you back up your save and fully update the game before trying to restart it and you will be fine.
ToronadoIf you borrow glitched a car, or did anything that involved starting the game before at least updating it to Spec II, then I honestly can't comment on whether or not you would keep the DLC. If you bought any of the DLC other than the tracks (which can be redownloaded from PSN), I wouldn't risk it.

Another "high horse rider"...figured it wouldn't take long for one to arrive.
On topic: I agree. I'd like to max out my Stealth F1 and GT-R, but want to keep a stock one on the side just in case. And while they're at it, why not throw an overpriced stealth car-chromeline DLC up on the Store? $10-15 so the "high riders" are happy we're paying more than they did (far more actually) for a simple, sexy livery? Oh wait, all the elitists would storm the PD offices and kill Kaz if he did so.![]()
Inferno251I'm pretty sure the Collectors and Signature edition would cost MORE than GT5 (the game itself) and the $10-15 price you proposed
Collectors edition is between 90-150 dollars I think and I've seen signatures well beyond 250.
👍 Agreed. These cars are meant to be bonuses for those willing to pay more for Gran Turismo, and I hope they remain only available to those who spent the extra money.I hope they never release the chromelines/stealth to the PSN Store.
Collectors edition is between 90-150 dollars I think and I've seen signatures well beyond 250. I meant that these would be available only to users who had them already but like Toronado pointed out, they're formatted differently. I hope they never release the chromelines/stealth to the PSN Store. That would just be a huge middle finger to the people who paid for collectors and signature.
Since the new DLC are now in the NCD do you think PD will put the chromelines and stealth cars in the NCD for people who already have them? I hope so because I want some stock Chromelines since I completely tuned most of mine in my "noob" days![]()
zuperkiwiYes
You buy DLC -> DLC cars available in new car dealership, non exchangable.
You buy Signature -> Signature cars available in new car dealership, non exchangable.
You buy Collectors -> Collectors cars available in new car dealership, non exchangable.
Waterproof
I would like to tune up some chrome line cars, knowing the stock version will remain unharmed
OP question:
There are now tickets to completely change your car back to stock, the way it was![]()
