SUPER is super easy, got all gold, but International C, International B and International A little bit harder

jeep2008
FR Cone Slalom Challenge ,simply undoable without a wheel...imho.

Not true I have got 60 golds using a DS3. it's hard don't get me wrong but it's doable. I had 13 silvers I needed to turn into golds so I turned to YouTube and it helped massively.

60 golds; no YouTube!!

But hardest one I remember was last one on B where you were the old Ferrari trying to pass other novelty cars.

I golded it with GH Guitar controller :sly:

Yeah, I never golded all the license tests and then I bought a DFGT and had trouble getting used to it so I figured I'd go back and try to gold them all. I'm about half way through them now and most have been relatively easy but I still Haven't golded that DB9 stopping test. I tried for about 2 hours the other day and got within .069 sec of it with a hole slew I think 26.8XX's and high 26.7Xx's. If memory serve's me you need 26.700 to gold. I've tried different launch techniques, shifting points, ABS on 1 and ABS off, you name it. I tried it. Got frustrated and gave up.

Anyone got any suggestions? I'm almost thinkin of using the DS3 just for this 1 test cause the quicker transition from gas to break just might be the answer. And I mean really I came within 69 thousandth's with the wheel so if that's the difference maker I'm still pretty happy if I'm able to gold everthing else with the wheel.

Pull the hand brake to get the car rorate 90 degrees
ABS off brakes 4/10
My time is 26.260

"IB-5: High Speed Blind Corners on Tokyo Route 246" was the hardest to gold for me so far. I tried for about 15 minutes initially, and recently I came back to it. Half-an-hour (read: 45 minutes) later, I attained gold by .001 of a second.

The cone slalom of IB was also a bit of a challenge, but not as much. The hard part was working out what technique to use. Eventually, I got it through my head that I had to accelerate to 3rd gear and then steady the car part-way through 3rd before going hard to the finish. When I started doing this consistently and managing to finish without touching cones, it was just a matter of time. Oh, and hitting the accelerator half a second after "1" of the "3, 2, 1" countdown helped.

Edit: When I said "so far," I meant that I have most of IA left before reaching gold in all 60.

Yay, dusty old thread revival! :D

The hardest would be International A license, with the IA-2 (the 'Mulsanne' section) being one of the hardest-to-gold licenses in the game.
(Tip: in order to easily gold the license, you can try to put the IS-F's left-wheels into the sand while braking ;))

Closely followed by International B license, with the 'Carousel' and the 'FR Slalom' beng the hardest ones, but they were no match to the 'Mulsanne' one, for what I needed to gold them is only careful throttle control and roof camera view. :p

Of course, none of them matter to me now, as I have all 60 golds in my profile :D

Hehe. I had a search and saw that there were previous threads on the topic. I'd much rather revive an old thread than start a copy.

I found the F40/Carousel licence quite simple. I had just finished golding the AMG special events the day before-hand though. Licences are odd like that. One person finds them near-impossible and the next hardly remembers them.

I just completed IA-2. It was the first one I went to after reading how difficult it was here and elsewhere. I had about 7 goes trying normally and then 5 once I worked out (with your and others' suggestions) to:

A) While building up speed at the beginning, hug the wall on the right.

B) Brake later than you would normally! And

C) Dip your left wheel/s into the sand while breaking.

I didn't need to use the handbrake/e-brake for this one although there are lots of suggestions out there to use it.

Edit: And ... all golds attained. The IA licences presented some challenges, but for sheer frustration (and difficulty), I still believe the IB set to be "the hardest" ... for me anyway.

I remember fluking a handbrake slide for that test. Couldn't repeat the process again, but I'd spent enough time trying.

Which double hairpin? Is it IB-5 by chance?

While I'm here, for anyone else who comes along, this resource gave me some ideas that helped.

I want them to be more realistic and harder!

I dont remember any hard event, but I was driving with my sixaxis at the time, now with g27 it would be harder for me I think! anyway I did gold in all of them and I didnt like them very much! they all was very similar boring and didnt teach me nothing, I would like to learn basics on test course with cones, and real instructions how to etc. sliding, turning, control recovery, starting, stopping in more details, racing, rules etc.! And make them not optional but MUST.. before entering single player, especially online should have entering restriction for kids!

that's what Im thinking about licence tests! Please, Give them purpose next time PD!

International A. I hate the first test on Sarthe because it required a ridiculously stupid driving line to complete.

The Maserati lincense was annoyingly hard.the car is so slow and the ai be in the way a lot

I completely agree that the usefulness of the tests was next-to-none. In fact, there is nothing in this game that teaches the basic skills required. It's all about time trials, but there's really not much to take to the racing track. Many of the tests require a near one-off performance to get gold, and then what? Gaining gold in one corner lets us know that corners can be taken faster, but try putting those lines into a race and the odds of them working, without crashing, are not high enough to be useful on a regular basis.

As for "easy" though, I disagree. It was easy to get bronze, yes. To get gold in all events was not so easy, although I suppose it always depends on what your comparison is.
