Ramming FTL. Just kills the game itself =='

With ramming, I can't compete properly in SSR7 with my special tuned cars there. Especially with my Veyron-killer, the Minolta 88-CV. (dunno what it's called)

I have been using the pit maneuver lately. When you are 20-30kmh off pace every turn and in first place holding everyone up, I give about a 5 turn chance to yield to faster drivers. 10 racers within 2 secs difference is a recipe for disaster on a technical course.

Whats hilarious about this thread is that people who I have seen ramming and cheating are going on as if they're the fairest racer of them all LOL

So if you can't get around someone.... you punt them out of the way. Glad you don't run in the Nurburgring Nordschleife room I am in every night!

Even a dirty door banging pass is better than pit-ing them.

I only do that on the Hugaroring :) lol

So using them as a wall to pass is better? What an idiot response. Try passing someone that is slower and blocks you on the Nurburgring. Nearly impossible.

I try to avoid every contact when passing others. Also, I never go for a grass-cutter to take better positions, because it sucks when you're a clean driver, seeing others cuts chicane, ramming into cars. I remember one time, when I accidentaly hit the bumper of the car in front of me at braking point, he goes in the grass and I just slow down after the curve and let him pass.

Wall to pass means they are still on the track... Pit maneuver means they are backwards into the wall. All because they weren't going fast enough for you. Take a look in the mirror before you call someone an idiot.

No it's not impossible, when you get alongside and they drive towards you just break, they'll career into the wall because they expected you to be there :)

I used to try and out brake people into corners but those kinds of moves, I find, are too risky online. I stick to the back of the guy and wait until he moves off of my preferred line. If he never does I wait for a mistake. It makes for more interesting racing, I think. One thing I don't like is being forcefully overtaken by someone faster than me to be left lapping by myself. So even if I know I'm faster than someone I'll wait for the right spot. I don't race online to win, as odd as it sounds. Rather, I want close quarters, no contact racing.

Use the grass, or stick on his tail while beeping your horn like crazy.

It's much better than pitting a driver who doesn't want to give up his position.

I have to agree that it's annoying when people block you on the straight, or force you to go wide:grumpy:

Enjoying a close race with clean drivers is much more satisfying than getting first in all the races.

This is my philosophy in racing also. Most people online can drive fast, but can't race. They don't know that when you're neck and neck with someone you can't be at full tilt all the way, you have to take precautions and let off a little.

I always look at the situation closely before making my move and overtake depending on the situation. Sometimes the moves can be bold but so far I haven't crashed anyone out.

An other thing I'd like to say is I don't get people who swerve around to break draft for example on the nurburgring straight. Have you ever seen a real racer do such a thing in a real race? I sure haven't.

More often than not this doesn't even help the idiot since it just takes me longer to catch them which means I often overtake them at the end of the straight and so far NOT ONE swerver has had the skills to overtake in the last set of curves between the end of the straight and the finish line.
