Nürburgring Nordschleife - Love or Hate?

I neither love it nor hate it.

Driving solo on it is fun.
But doing a full race is kind of annoying since there's almost no room to pass.

This. It's exactly how I feel. Especially with faster cars. With cars of 250-hp or less however, it's brilliant.

I'm not sure how anybody could 'hate' it though.

Love to hate.

I really like it, and once I put some time in to really learn it, I am sure that will increase.

Love it. Took a bone stock RUF Yellowbird round earlier, what a challenge that is. Very demanding car on a very demanding track.

I also enjoyed taking my '02 Focus RS round earlier tonight and whooping two guys with Ferrari 458s who clearly couldn't drive the track!

I'll be going there for real in the Summer, can't wait.

I used to hate it. A lot. It was long, tedious, and didn't leave any room for mistake.

Now however, I've gotten used to it, know where I need to brake and where I don't and it's not half bad. That being said though, it's not my favourite, so I'd probably rate it a neutral.

Love it and how well it is modeled in GT5 is one of the main reasons I bought a PS3+GT5.

I spend 80% of my GT5 time on it, it's awesome.

Love it. Its the one track i don't get bored of driving because it demands 100% concentration otherwise your on the grass every other corner.

12.95 miles of pure, unadulterated, unforgiving, grueling, punishing, relentless, dare I say it, tenacious...

LOVE :sly:

Nothing but love!

Killed the track in GT4, so glad to be racing on it once again. For those that havent tried, setup an online race, starting at about 17:00 for a few laps and watch it turn to night and race in the dark (No racing line ya cheats, lol).

Now THATS an experience!!

Love it.

It's a bit too hectic for me with some of the higher-end race cars, but that's more a matter of my skill than the track itself. You won't catch me ripping around it in the FGT any time soon.

If you call turning the brightness all the way up (in game and on your tv) and being in a completely dark room cheating. I must say it's mighty fun with the NASCAR machines on the midnight Nur. ^_^

I absolutely love it, I probably spend 75% of my GT5 time lappping it in my favorite LM cars.

Love it, it was fun at first trying to maneuver through whatever the hills threw at me, and it's still fun now trying to maneuver those twists and bends as fast as possible.

The Ring is a beautiful track. I love hopping into my 512BB, turn off the HUD and map and just admiring the beautiful scenery. I have fun just driving at 70%. There's no rush or need to push it to the extreme. Just cruise and listen to the music from the motor behind you. Brings a smile to my face every morning.

I'd say that if you don't love the ring, GT is not the driving game for you. I'm not saying you're wrong or not entitled to dislike Motoring Mecca, but that if you do, then there are probably car games that will better provide what ever it is you do like about cars and driving.

I give it a "love", because it is the best counterpart for modern race tracks.

But I raced it too much in other sims, those now I am not crazy in love or freaked out to race it.

It is cool to have it, but not for every day.

But also a duty for every serious racing game.

Neutral, it's too long for it's own good. It's a fun track but I would say Le Sarthe is about as long as you can get before it's just too long. That's not to say it's a bad track, it has great scenery and is fun to drive, but just isn't fun to race on.

Love...it was certainly daunting--perhaps intimidating--at first, but as I came to learn the track through the AMG Driving Academy, I developed a genuine appreciation for it...and now, it doesn't fail to get my heart pumping every time I drive it. Best course in the game.

Sunrise, sunset, and everything else in between - Beautiful! 👍

Love it.👍

There are three kind of people:

The ones who love driving in the Nordschleife, the ones who don't know how to drive properly around the Nordschleife, and the ones who love it despite not knowing how to drive around it properly.

Just my point of view. Oh, and I belong to the third type :dopey:.

I absolutely love it most of the time. There are those times when I hate it, but it's usually my fault (missed braking point...argh!) But usually I love it.

Love it. It was the track I drove the most in GT4 while learning to use a wheel, and it's been the site of some of my favorite online battles with similarly-skilled opponents.

👍

I love how thats the only track i'm always afraid of driving too fast... so many hills!
i love driving in nurburgring but i would never pass 100kph in a RL track day

I hate this track...
But when I passed (back in GT4) the license tests and Mission 34 it was my great!

Same now I hate it in the Mercedez Challenge but once I gold the Event its great all over again!

Love it , hell in 5 or 10 years I might even remember some of it

Actually did my first ever 2 consecutive laps without crashing tonight :dopey:

Times where nothing to shout home about , but 2 whole laps that'll do for a start 👍

I'm sure I've done thousands and thousands of laps of the Nürburgring. Absolutely love it.
