I've raced all types of races online. Such as tunnel drags, drifting, rallies & gt / gt500 / LMS. Also Supercar , Muscle Car , and Compact Cars. I have even been in lobbies where the winner picks track and HP. So I feel I have done it all. But I LOVE NICECAR because it's the most evenly matched races, it's a real challenge of skill. You need to hold on and nail your timing, builds your patients up. If you don't feel me it's because you're gasing it too hard and want to win in one lap. SKILL & PATIENCE IS A VIRTUE

You need to customize / personalize your suspension and downforce!!! Also try to tap your brakes going in and going out of the corners!!

That's the problem, no idea how to do it...

And, are you kidding? You want me to brake???!!! :D

Yea just got to tap it before entry (i.e. turn 1) and before leaving (i.e. turn 2). Are you racing or driving the track by yourself? That makes a big difference like 25 mph. If you are driving by yourself you won't need to tap you'll just need the tweeks to the suspension and downforce. If you are racing the same applies but just tap brakes. I spent a lot of time setting my NASCARS. For Daytona you need to raise ride height to a positive factor because if it's a negative factor you will spark the body on Daytona's angled corners. If you're running Indy you want the ride low because it's flat. If you do these adjustments your ride won't sway.

I hate them. Absolutely useless cars. Handle like a drunk whale on wheels.
No refinement, no subtlety, ancient technology, much too heavy, hideous looking.

And there are far too many of them in the premium dealership.

Very casual interest in NASCAR, and I have such fun with them.

A resounding 'Yes'.

I don't like them really.

The Jeff Gordan Special event annoys me

And I can't win on Daytona in A-spec or B-Spec. And I have the car with no downforce on at all, 261mph on the gear ratios too.

Maybe you could win with downforce as it's much easier to handle with those values pretty much all the way up because at 261 it is to high to take turns. You need to set it at 242 or 249 depending on driving style and track.

Nope, compared to other race cars, they're heavy & handle like crap.

Would have much rather seen some Grand Am or ALMS GT cars instead. I think most everyone outside the US (and many in the US) would agree.

Can't stand them.
I would definitely prefer some more LMS and ALMS cars be in the game, and keep NASCAR cars in the NASCAR games.
Can't stand the way they look or handle.

These cars are the one big negative with the game, for me.

I love 'em :)

I wish they would add a few more NASCAR tracks to the game though.

Infineon Raceway was in GT4. Personally I'd love to see more too, especially Watkins Glen (mostly because I go to that track all the time in real life).

I'll admit to like all forms of auto-racing, including NASCAR.

I hate them! and i hate them even more cause nascars are premium and supra isnt!

As someone form the UK, i think they rightfully have a place. however im not a fanof the cars. sure if you have a dedicated nascar lobby its fun, but any track with some more complicated wiggilys and they are hopeless!

I love the cars in reality. It's nice to see some old style tanks roaming around at uncontrollable speeds.

But.. GT5 does a terrible job at capturing this. They stick like glue. 👎

Whether you like them or hate them, they definitely have uniqueness to them. Oval racing can be a lot of fun and is not as simple as people take it for.

Are they really that bad? I get the feeling that comments like this are preemptive, not because of the attitude, but just because of the short comings in GT physics. Stock Cars don't really handle much different than other race cars. At least not to me. They certainly beat all street cars, like my 800 hp ACR or my Speed 12.

Really good stuff, and a well executed alternative game mode.

It's such a shame they didn't add restarts and other stuff. Also, we need a Daytona 500 endurance event.

I like them on ovals, but that's it. On actual tracks, they feel clumsy and out of place.

I like them, somewhat. I put on max downforce on the car and it managed to go around the Green Hell quite easily, little to no oversteer.

Now that I've got a steering wheel the stock cars are SO much fun! The bonus race at the 'Ring was an absolute blast, and I've been hitting up more road courses with them. I love it.
