Poll: Traditional Drag Racing vs. Unlocked Parts Drag Racing

Ok, I have a few reasons I'm starting this thread.

For one, since the hybrid craze it seems a lot of people have been using parts, for what ever reason; they are slow and they want to go faster, if they are fast or they want to go even faster or they want to be a troll.

Two, I'm tired of getting beet by a Honda, that starts off 2 cars behind me and wins(when I run legit).

Three, the complaints I hear in PM's when, someone on my Team or another Team lose a pinks race to my Team.

So what I want to do is start a revolution in the last 5-6 months this game has left. (We might as well help her go out with a BANG!!!

Its pretty simple lets just accept these new parts and make the faster cars we have said we always wanted.
And for those hardcore tuners, it will create a new challenge, (from personal experience it can be fun trying to get a 500 HP Honda to get some grip and still get down the line in a good time.)

Lets end this "cheating" and all embrace it as the new way, this isn't the first time a new trick or whatever that has come along and become the norm. Look what Shells did yesterday.
Let's even the playing field!!!

PS: If this does take off, I'm sure myself and other people in the market place can help provide parts.(If you dont have the means). Better yet just download the program yourself.

I'm sure with all the expert tuners around here we can quickly come up with some "normal times" for the new cars. You got the cars you just need the parts!!

PPS: There is no worry about getting banned on PSN using Parts (as we have seen), just do not use them in Seasonals or Time Trials (they frown upon that).

I'm not sure how many people are gonna invest the time to retune. With 75 - 100 drag tuned cars I know I'm not, I haven't started a fresh tune since January or February except for Slashes 400 hp comp.

I lost almost all interest for gt5 so I would love to have a fresh start and have a new challenge; I vote yes.

If it was meant to be in the game, they would've unlocked it in an update or DLC. As much as I wanted some cars to have more horsepower, they don't need the extra parts & the hacking aspect. So that'd be a no.

Well we are in that situation right now.

You would be amazed in the short amount of time it takes (approx 5 to 10 minutes(unlocked parts) plus a different flip point, adjust here, adjust there there wa-la, plus we all (in our circles) share info, so I dont think it would take that long.

I don't trust people, and why should I? I don't trust the guy next to me in a race and he has no reason to tell me what parts he has (or does not have) installed. The extent of the CHEATING - HACKING - MODDING - ADDING EXTRA PARTS, goes farther than the extent of just "Parts". YOU CAN NOT TELL WHAT IS IN ANYONE'S CAR!!! OR what hex's are modified. Hello?!? Does anyone have common sense here?! Seriously. The parts weren't included in gameplay and if they WANTED TO include them in gameplay, THEY WOULD HAVE! Isn't that a fact?! That is the end of it. Forget about all the side crap that people keep saying and go back to the facts. The game is the way it is for a reason and if you can't handle that.... No wait, there is no other option. Accept it.

This is a big fat N O for me, I absolutely despise hacking, it could be cool when done within reason but I just don't want to do it. A lot of people will become addicted to it and then when it comes time to do legit drags again they wont be able to handle it and will use modded cars anyway, I've seen it happen before and don't very much care for it, I've seen good drag racers go down hard, sad really. So the answer from me would be a NO.

I'm personally expecting with the next "maintenance" they are either gonna shut the mods down for good, or open up all the parts. Or it's just server maintenance. I guess we'll just have to see. So I guess with that being said,
Is everyone:

A: gonna accept the parts if they are put into the game legitimately and re-tune?
B: start opening drag rooms that say "no new parts"

I don't know or care anymore but from my personal "life experience" in the electronic circuit board Industry, I know if there is change, embrace it or be left behind...

I have two accounts, 1 completely legitimate, and 1 with a STRONG mix of legit and not legit cars.. I love running legitimate drag racing as long as everyone in the room is. But here lately I've been having quite a bit of fun on my other acct.

Look in the Hybrid Thread, its a phase that every game goes through. Yes it is not in the game, but i think PD would have dealt with it if they wanted too. eg. Un-tradable cars that we could trade. They could have done the same with the parts. They could have completely locked the save files like some games too, if they were that worried about it.(lets see what happens after this maintenance period.)
I see the disorganization, but it would still be obvious when someone has a 3000HP car, so do like we've been doing when we aren't trolling and kick them. All I am saying is lets get the most we can out of GT5 while its still around.

Honestly i only put a turbo and weight on 2 cars and it made my 3000gt a high 9.0 car and my ZZII a low 8.6 car

I had a turbo stage 4 but I gave to someone and forgot to dupe it....

I dont like using parts but don't mind racing honest people with them...I ran a ZR1 tha was giving my SRT10 06 a really good race so it was fun!!!! the guy told me that he had a few parts so it was ok.....

I really don't want to start using them but I wouldn't mind running people with them....

Ummm.... Disappointing results so far.

I dont see why we cant have fun till GT6. I also dont understand why its such a problem. I've heard all the arguments, but still dont see why its such a big issue, when we have to run people with who knows what they got, so I'll say it again lets even the field!!!

Rooms can still be setup with PP, weight and HP limitations.
Come on yall accept whats going on all around yall.
