Well? I have a Logitech Driving Force Pro unit. Very sloppy really (it has had a bit of use). Long throw with the pedals. But has put up with some abuse, so I would say its durable to say the least.

What about you lot?

I am still using the sixaxis controller. Once I get my room situated; I'm hoping to get a wheel w/ gear stick.

I brought a G25 almost 2 years ago purely for GT5, so yeah I use that.

Driving Force EX for me, if i'm doing GT5 'seriously'. If i just want to chill and faff about, its the DS3

Was going to get a G27, but read too many problems with it and about the Thrustmaster coming out soon. Also, not sure if I will like this enough to justify getting a $300 wheel at this point considering it may go in my closet of expensive things I got bored with shortly after purchase.

So I ordered a Driving Force GT for $99 free shipping/no tax instead. Haven't gotten it yet. If it makes the game far better, may rethink getting a better wheel and use the DFGT as a back up. Also, I just bought this HKS controller

and hate it. It says it can do "Macro's" with programable buttons. To me, that means I can macro a button to repeat a command all on it's own without me mashing buttons.....but what it actually means to this gamepad is button remapping and nothing more. Also, I am having a horrible time trying to drive a car with that gamepad. Hitting brakes is difficult and honestly, I don't feel like I have better control on the car over the normal sony PS3 controller. Will try using the HKS one more just to make sure it's just not a matter of me getting use to it. Also, there has got to be something wrong with the HKS. It's vibration is very weird and feels wrong and lopsided.

Bought a G25 when they first came out for PC racing games.
Quite pleased when I found out it would work with the PS3 as well.

Driving Force GT. I have to admit it's getting old. A week ago the top half of the gearstick came off.

HKS Racing Controller. I given up on the steering control as it sticks just enough on right lock to veer the car off course, but I'm comfortable enough using the analog stick

I have a Driving Force Pro unit which I bought for GT4, but still works with GT5! I actually use my Dualshock most times! We live in an apartment so we don't have the space to just keep the wheel, so every time I have to hook the wheel and stuff then unhook it after I'm done which is a hassle. Plus my parents are separated and carrying that wheel around makes it a bigger hassle, so I generally use my Dualshock, but also use my Driving Force Pro, just not as much.

Fanatec Porsche Turbo S wheel with the clubsport pedals, loving this kit. Still use the controller for menus though, thank $deity that you can use them both on the PS3, drove me up the wall on the xbox, flipping though menus and options with just wheel buttons is a pain.

G25

When it finally gives out (had her about 3yrs with zero probs) I'll look at a Fanatic so I can hook up to play with a wheel on whatever system I choose.

G25 and Playseat Evolution (full leather. that's a con, not a pro, in endurance races). But my clutch failed on me 2 days ago. While I was driving the Ring my car was suddenly smashing against the limiter for no reason, like it jumped out of gear or I had broke the car's clutch or something. I have restarted the game and deleted network cache several times and now the clutch pedal does nothing. I even tried pressing triangle. I can still shift with the H-shifter, but no clutch effect :indiff: Will have to open up the pedal box and look for loose wires or short circuits and stuff...

I bought the G25 on GT5p release day and it has been used quite a lot. Especially with iRacing.

I like DS3 controller, the funny part is that im getting some electrical shocks from the controller, really strange things hapen to strange persons.

DS3 here but I kinda hit a wall with the X-1 challenge, seems really hard for suzuka/nurb on ds3.

I use a DS3 but considering getting a wheel from all the good things I'm hearing.

Those wheels look like a step too far into nerdy for me.
Besides I like sitting on the floor crosslegged, so ds3 will do fine.

G25 and Playseat Evo. Wouldn't have it any other way. Just turn on the DS3 for B-Spec'ing from the couch.

I agree with Redline2008 about the leather as well.

Edit: I see Playseat now have an Alcantara one. If I was to buy one again that would be my choice.

Using the DS3 and was doing just fine till I started the Formula and X1 challenge.
I just feel I don't have enough control and have started give a wheel some thought.
