If your current wheel is broken or just want a new wheel. Which wheel should you buy if money is't a problem? [for PS3]

I'd stick with GT3 RS and clubsports since I love the pedals. I like the leather on the wheel so I don't mind if the FFB is not as realistic compared to the T500 RS(according to some reviews online).

If money isn't a problem? One of them ECCI force feedback wheels. You also should specify if you want it for PS3 or PC gaming.

If money is no problem buy Fanatec; Logitech and Thrustmaster and invite your friends over to play on your 3 seats and 3 big screen tvs :dopey:

Thrustmaster suck by the moment, maybe when a shifter is released it will become better but for now they totally failed it by far, having a clutch pedal with sequencial gears is makes no sense at all.

Buy a G27 and make some mods on it and it will become the best you can get or if you don't want to have to make an effort to make it better, buy a frex wheel

I put the wrong vote in. You didn't specify PS3 only initially.

Of the ones on your list, money no object, PS3 my only concern, I'd grab a GT3RSv2 CSP bundle. There are some mad mods you can do on the G27 tho, so that bears consideration... but I voted for the GT3RSv2.

If I was really buying for ME, money no object, PS3 only, not on your list, I'd watch for that FREX G-Type gear.

I was really spending my own money on a new wheel, I'd go for the Fanatec GT2 w/CSP, for the XBOX360 compatibility.

I would either go with G27/CST pedals combo (not to confuse with CSP) or T500RS. T500RS is the better wheel yet with better pedals (CST pedals now have an G27 adapter to use on PS3) make more difference in lap times than ffb wheels. (more true with hardcore sims like Iracing than most console games)

Men serious, best you can have

-Frex wheel(or G27 with mods);
-Sim-Gear shifter;
-CST pedals;
-2x Buttkicker Gamer 2(one for each side of the bottom of the chair)
- Buttkicker BKA 300 for th back of the chair).

If you want a full motion sim you can get one for about 15.000USD

Its only about the wheel...:)

Another pointless poll... have to wonder where the Mods are.

Anyway to answer your question, the wheel you should buy if money is not a problem is:
attached to the steering column on a Nissan GT-R V-Spec.

Another pointless post. if mods feel this is't okay they will close this. you are not the advisor of the mods here. if you don't like this, just ignore this topic. If you can't handle it report this topic.

I could't make up my mind what wheel i should get, and made some Polls/topic/posts to get idea whith wheels are the best. Yes a real car steering wheel is better. But everyone know i meant a steering wheel for gaming. to bad you feel the need to post a pointless post on a serieus topic, just because you don't like it. Mods will do there job. You don't have to be act like on!

I was going to buy a T500 RS, instead i ordered a G27:sick:

well i hope i did the right thing...

First of all, Where in the heck did you order a G27 from because I'm looking for one myself! lol... Everyone seems to be out of stock unless you paid a premium dollar for it.

I was also having a hard time trying to decide which wheel to go with. The Thrustmaster is very tempting but I can't really get over those hard mounted shifter paddles. I just know it would annoy me, especially while racing Cart or F1.

Each wheel has it's pro's and con's I suppose. Tough decision to make no doubt! I personally like the idea of slapping on a 2lb 330mm MOMO for my rig. ;)

Since the G27 is out of stock right now I have been burning a hole in my pocket impatiently waiting. I have the CS Pedals and a SST shifter on there way. That will work nicely on my PC setup and with the G27 package I will have pedals and a shifter that will work with GT5 as well.

I hope the G27 comes around quick before I buy a Butt kicker or something! lol...

If you recieve the G27 soon please do share how you like it! Thanks

i opted for "something else"

if money isn't a problem i would have build a 6DOF motion racing simulation with curved screen, ecci ffb wheel, cst pedals, etc etc...

Honestly I think availability of the hardware is more of an issue than the money! lol... It seems that it's tough to get your hands on a lot of things, especially if you want it right NOW!

Few examples would be: ECCI 7000 (the one with FF apparently) isn't even on there site.

Frex stuff your dealing with (yen) lol...

G27 out of stock every where!

Fanatec shifter set in US available in MAY! Same with GT2 Wheel.

Very frustrating I must say! I don't think the thrustmaster is easy to get your hands on either right now.

I don't think that Frex or ECCI is the way to go with wheels - PS3 or otherwise. Too esoteric, not huge support. Stick with Fanatec.

I voted something else, potato. That said though. Get a fanatec. They are a great wheel and if you get the GT2 it is compatible with everything under the sun. Should you ever decide you want to play fm3 or fm4 you will have the hardware for it.

I was looking for T500 RS or a G27(second choice) but everywhere they are out of stock or they are not selling it. i don't get it why. anyway i live in belgium and did visit alot of stores. finally and the only thing i could do is ordering a G27 in "mediamarkt". they also said they had a problem getting this wheel. I am guessing it could take a while before they call me.
A little of a problem becaus my current wheel(pedals) are broken. But in the maintime i can do all the B-spec endurance races.

Being a casual racer I would stick with what I got. Turbo S with leather. Not to heavy or big to easilly stow away when not in use and the configurability means it´s hard to find a game that you can´t make to play decently with it.

If I would be an elitistic hardcore iRacing PC simmer with dedicated simpod. Plus don´t care about console support I would probably want that ECCI FFB wheel ;)
