I have to say I have no desire for an X2010. It is simply a fictional car and if they do ever make one I'm quite sure it won't drive like it does in the game without killing the driver. To me it's no different then putting a pod racer in the game. Also, with every other post on the market place offer an X2010 there is simply no more value to it. Just my two cents. What's yours?
 
I guess the poll is not up yet. I probably won't ever want one, simply because everyone else is so ga-ga over them. Sick of hearing "X2010 this" and "X2010 that". Most of the people that have them (duped or otherwise) probly can't handle their power anyways.

In GT1 I never got that 930 hp Mitsubishi GTO, and in GT2 I only got an Excuseo...erm Escudo to finish up the last 2 Pike's Peak uphill races. I've managed to do the majority of GT4 higher-paced races without a Group C or GT1.
 
It's not that I really want it bad for the driving, which I thinks looks a bit silly. Taking corners @180mph. But the Vettel challenge seems to be the hardest in GT5 especialy with a DS3.., so I'm looking forward to see if I can beat it.
 
Gaining an X1 was going to be a nice reward, and a sign of progress throught the game after earning it, being able to show it off online would have been nice. but since the duping and over trading for things like paint (how is chrome paint worth millions of cr?) It's all gone a bit silly, so now I just but random cars and mildly tune them for online.
 
I can't really vote as I already have an X1 but I have no desire for it to be in a real driving simulator :)
 
Was it in GT3 when the Escudo had the 1800hp rating? I remember when i spent 3 days tuning every setting where I managed to get it to handle so well... That I raced a friend in a FGT with a 1 lap lead and won... Those were the days. I have to say, I've got a X2010 gifted by a friend... I use it in B-spec races... Goto love the thrill of battling it out with the AI in A-spec... But it is a sexy car ;)
 
What I don't really get is the guys in the Marketplace section trying to get all 20-ish colours of it. Seems a silly collection, to me.
 
I have 4 (1 for lvl 35 B spec and 3 from golding the Vettel Challenges) and other than using one to whip through the Suzi 1000km enduro in a little over 3.5 hours, I never drive them... they just aren't realistic or fun to drive.

But don't dismiss them as they are really worth having for B spec enduro's as you can just chuck Bob in one and forget about him for 24 hours.
 
One day a guy woke up, duped his X2010 and the guy he gave it to duped it and he gave it away and the next guy duped his X2010 and he gifted it to a guy who.....

I wonder how many copies of the first guy to duplicate his X2010 exsist today lol?

This 'car' should of been unavailable to gift, and the one you win in B-Spec would be a colour one, The one from A-Spec the Vettel version.

Then we would of been able to see who grafted away and deserved their prize car.

Currently I'm on A-Spec Lv29 on a borrowed PS3 (Mine =YLOD) so going to be close to missing out on driving one until I get a new PS3.
 
Well, it's like anyone who wants to collect the complete car garage... Since it is "The Car" of the game... and again, it is sexy ;), why not dress it up in all its available glory...
 
It would be cool if they were semi-rare. Like you actually had to save up for one instead of just duping or trading a golf for one. Thanks to all the duplicating people have been doing X2010's, P4's, and almost every other rare car arent worth anything anymore. :(

think about it, this thread is asking if you want more, or less cars. Which car, is circumstantial, and therefore, irrelevant. That being said, interesting to see what others do.
 
OP i am with you on this one, i still have mine as an unopened gift , I said somewhere on here in GT6 i guess you can mod it with "Wings" and fly around the track, it is a gimmick added to the game for commercial reasons for a would imagine teenages to blast around in, to claim to be "The Real Driving Simulator" and have so many "Concept cars and the X2010" makes it a laughable title.

It seems GT5 took a backward step with the X2010. It should have remained as a special challenge only.
 
I want one.... when I earn it in the Vettel challenge. I'll probably never use it online, in fact after that I'll probably never use it at all. But it would be a nice trophy.
 
I have no interested in racing the X1 online, nor do I have an interest in using it to win races in A-Spec (at least not the first time round, I do use it to grind however as mentioned below).

I only use my X1 for grinding around Indy and for B-Spec, Bobs currently doing the Suzuka Endurance and it has rained for the entire time! He'll still complete it faster than I did though in the dry ... It just seems the obvious choice to use it for lap limited races as it just gets them done faster.

FYI I don't need an X1 for A-Spec or for online, I can win in both by using an actual car :)

Just to add, is it just me or does the X1 just come across as more of a cartoon car than a simulated car? I see Bob driving it very quickly (sub 4.20) on the Nurburgring and it just looks more like Wacky Races than anything else?
 
Why is everybody taking the whole X1 thing so serious? I think from a conceptual point of view it's an interesting thought experiment - some world-class engineers using the GT physics model to experiment with a hypothetical "what if" scenario.

Also, from a game perspective it's nice to get that speed rush more than anything. At least that's how I see it.

I got mine via trading, and I'm happy I did, because I probably will never be able to get mine via playing the game with my DS3 and it's unlikely I'll ever make it to lvl. 40 A-Spec or lvl. 35 B-Spec because I have a life, job and responsibilities.

He pretty much invented the Satellite, now people from across the globe play against each other with X2010's online using satellites to connect with other lol

I don't yet own one but when I saw my first glimpse of the X1 on youtube a few weeks ago, the first thing I thought of was my first game on the PS1 "Rage Racer". You unlocked this car with massive rear wheels from memory and it went like an absolute bomb. Totally unrealistic and laughable to be honest. I have no desire to own one to drive myself, I will only use it to grind B-Spec endurance races to earn credits to buy realistic cars I know i'll enjoy.

I unlocked the S. Vettel Challenge last night so had my first experience driving one. I'm an old school PS player so for me anything other than D-Pad, X & [] are alien to me. I now realise that with a DS3 i'll struggle to win one, so i'm more than happy to grind B-Spec to win one via the level 35 route. I certainly have no desire in trading for one. You may as well have bought the game with all cars already in the garage.
 
I hate the x2010 I will get one if somebody gifts me one or I win one! But I doubt I'll drive it. My b spec driver can have it.

PD have destroyed a perfectly good road car by doing what they have done with this stupid speed and stupid handling.
It is a PD adaptation of a real car called the 'caparo T1' which was designed with the idea of being a F1 car for the road taking most of it's design from f1 cars.

That x1 thing has ruined the real car and due to it's massively unrealistic characteristics I feel it is massively disappointing.

My thoughts exactly, it's too precise too too, hmm boring, except I play with the triggers and the analog stick.Drifting in the Nurburgring with a stock C63 AMG is much better for me.
 
I have one from when Bob hit 35 but I dont have the skill to drive it properly. Bob on the other hand seem to love it
 
I'm one of the few "suckers" who played through the game and busted my butt with a joystick to get the X2010 on my own with the Sebastion Vettel Challenge on A spec lvl 30.

Those who believe in the X2010 as a possible real car that can really do 9 G's are setting themselves up for humiliation. But I will admit I believe this car is possible in real life and with the lap times (1:03 at Suzuka, 1:04 at Nurburgring GP, 0:31.5 at Indy, etc.)

I believe Andrey Newey when he says a fan car can do that kind of performance. Maybe not at an old circuit but a modern day one like Turkish GP, or Bahrain could probably handle its sheer speed & grip without making it unstable.

I;ve been to numerous airshows. Every other year we have an airshow here in Duluth that features the blue angels, Navy demos, Canadian AF demos, and last but not least stunt plane demos. These aircraft are capable of far more than 9 Gs, and the pilots do these moves for 10 or sometimes 25 minutes at a time. Call me a "simpleton" from a small town who doesnt know anything but if Newey and Red Bull say they can do it I believe em'.

Just my 2 cents.
 
I can't see not wanting one without trying it. If you try it and don't want it, cool. if your saying no without at least driving it once your just closed minded and missing out.
 
They really should have made the X2010 unable to trade. Then I would have maybe wanted one. Now levels ones can have this car almost instantly if they really wanted.
 
Winning the X2010 challenge makes having one worthwhile due to its difficulty. There are no other event GT5 that pushes that car's limits, so obviously it will seem boring lapping the field 50 times in a race.

Now if they created an entire series of events specifically for the X2010, that would make having the car much more interesting outside of simply collecting it. Since there's no real car to compare it against, we don't have a frame of reference upon which to judge the car in any real-world sense.

Imagine an entire series of seasonal events dedicated to the X2010 - think of the Grand Tour special events but using an X2010!
 
I don't want one, and don't want to drive one, but I can see it's handiness for below.
