Can a car that has modifications, say a racing exhaust/intake, be entered in this race if the modifications are removed?

No - only things you can do are:
- oil change
- tyres

You also can't enter race cars - check the entry list.

Actually I'd like to correct you Vat_man. (Rare Chance).

If the Racing exhaust is removed you can enter the car. Once you've done something irreversible (Port polish, Lightweight, engine balancing...) the car can no longer be entered.

Keep in mind you have to remove the part BEFORE you can enter the race. Use Race & Settings in your home to uninstall, and then you can enter the intended race.

Vat_man, I'm sure you just typed too fast, seems like a misunderstanding.

I think that you shouldnt be able to change tires at all so it truly is a street car.

Well now we know the truth so I can't post what I know. :(

I would like to correct u Der Alta about what u said before:

If the Racing exhaust is removed you can enter the car. Once you've done something irreversible (Port polish, Lightweight, engine balancing...)

The Racing exhaust is one of the many irreversible upgrades. So u cannot use a car with a racing exhaust.

That's more of an expansion than a correction... :p

I thought you couldn't change tyres the first time I tried a race in that series - I ran a Viper, which needless to say got through its stock tyres in two laps - I was jostling for position though!

So, what's a good car choice for this series?

Ruf GT?
Viper GTS?

Other?

I have run it in an R390 road car, and easily won the series.

GG will vote for the Aston Martin Vanquish.

The speed 12 will decimate the competition.

You could give an NSX a try.

Cool, thanks a bunch. I don't own any of those cars so I better wait and see what I win.
And I guess I better upgrade my license to better than IA, huh?
:scared:

Ouch. I hope, at least, that it was being driven in the intended manner. Most likely, though, it was just some idiot yakking on his/her cel phone...

If you want a challenge use something like a Mazda RX7 (I used an RZ). It'll be considerably more difficult but much more interesting:)

Thanks for saving me typing it!!! :)

Haven't lost a 'stock' race with that car yet!

Surely the tyres don't last, the Vanquish is massively heavy isn't it?

Well ive driven it and they last pretty good, im not all that good at driffting but with vanquish i can do it and the tires wear nicely.

You can get 10 - 15 laps out of Super Slicks, which is enough really. More importantly though, the Vanquish doesn't change grips levels significantly through the tyre wear pattern, so you'll be lapping within 1-2 secs between blue and orange.

It is a heavy car, but then you could choose a lot of cars and blow the race away. I'm up at about 95% now, and I'm kinda bored of doing that!

I heard someone win with an MR-S with pit strategy alone. I used a Nismo 400R.
