To be fair, Mandarin Chinese and Japanese kanji are closely related, aren’t they?

Indeed, Chinese characters and Japanese kanji share some similarities, which can speed up comprehension in the early stages of learning, but this is basically their only similarity.

The two languages are evolved independently, with completely different grammatical structures, and the usage of a vast number of characters is entirely different. When it comes to daily communication, the differences are huge, even greater than those between English and other Indo-European languages.

Having learnt both English and Japanese, I feel that Japanese is indeed easier at the beginner stage, but it becomes harder than English once you get into everyday and business conversation.

Kanji literally means "Chinese/Han Character". They adopted the characters as the written language, while Hiragana & Katakana come from over-simplified Chinese calligraphy.
Their Kanji uses a different simplification from mainland China, so if you look at certain characters with same origin, they may be different.

A little bird told me that PD is working on circuits in China. Kaz certainly has some focus on the Chinese manufacturers and our car culture (if it's really considered as one). Xiaomi SU7U & BYD are strong indicators, while Chery annoys me with their limit on the Lotus IP limit.
Anyway, take the upcoming CN circuits as a rumour. I don't believe it when I heard it, as the compliance and mapping permit is considered very hard.

I am totally expecting Shanghai circuit at some point

The... whatnow?

Even if you're trying to say Geely, Lotus isn't under Geely (Auto). ZHG is the parent company, Geely Auto and Lotus Group - like Volvo - are separate subsidiaries, where the Geely Auto brand is part of the Geely Group under Geely AH (Zeekr is part of the Zeekr Group under Geely AH) while Lotus is part of the Lotus Group. Chery is no part of ZHG.

Ultimately, only Lotus is responsible for Lotus's "IP".

My mistake. I intended to say Geely.

I'm really confused by the fact that Volvo (and Polestar) is in the game but Lotus remains disappeared. I clearly remember Evora in GTS beta test, hinting the modelling is ready.
Anyway it confuses me more if Lotus is the one responsible for the withdraw from the game... But it happened.

There's no need to be. Almost exclusively (most of Stellantis being the exception), across the entire industry, each brand is responsible for its own PR - and the PR teams are who deal with licensing.

Lotus and Volvo might be owned by the same company (ZHG) eventually when you get far enough up the money tree, but they are almost completely separate in PR terms, and even within ZHG they're part of separate subsidiaries and business units. Geely itself is also separate, as are Zeekr and Farizon. So is smart, but that's a joint-venture with Mercedes.
