Does anybody have any sort of contact to PD?

I want to ask them why players from some countries are not eligible to obtain the star player status and therefore unable to compete in the 2018 championship. I live in Slovenia and I would like for us to at least be able to compete next year.

The easiest solution would of course be to create a new account from an eligible country, but I heard you're supposted to provide proof of residence to obtain the star player rank, which I can't do. And even if I could, the rules state that every account that qualifies to the regional finals but lies about their country will be disqualified from the championship.

I tried contacting Slovenian PS support, they said they have no information about specific games. Then, UK PS support, they directed me to the press site (http://www.sceuk-press.net) from where I never received a reply. Someone said that because this is a FIA-regulated championship, I should contact the automotive association in my country. We have 2, I contacted both, neither had any knowledge of the championship. I then found the job recruitment email on PD's website (http://www.polyphony.co.jp/contact/), but once again, no answer. I was told the guys who were invited to the world tour event in May were given contact to PD. If any of them are here I would appreciate it if they could share it.

From what I've heard, and what I understand, is that the problem lies with the legal definition of what constitutes a competition in various territories.

It may be that what PD are offering in terms of the championship is either illegal in your territory, or is in a legal grey area where PD require more clarification before they can offer it.

Yes, but there is no official channel by which to contact Polyphony Digital.

Ultimately, your question is one for the game's publishers. That's Sony, so you should contact your local Sony offices. However, there's a few standing reasons for why "Country X" is not part of the competition, and they all pretty much come down to "the competition's rules do not meet that country's laws on competitions". It may be that it's considered gambling, or that the prize is not sufficiently tangible, or cannot be split in order to be taxed, or any number of other similar reasons.

It's more broadly explained here:

Ok, I sent an email to both PlaystationPR@sony.com and Sony Slovenia. What is the price for winning the championship anyway? It's really surprising that regulations could be the problem here since we are in the EU and regulations shouldn't differ that much. But then again, so are Italy, Greece, Croatia... An Italian even won the Nurburgring event, remember? Do you think it's worth contacting the people who make these regulations here? I have no idea who that is tho...
