After I read about the 1.06 patch at gran-turismo.com I've got that feeling back, that real good old GT feeling, and now I know that I will stick with GT porbably forever. They've improved the AI in B-spec, and the AI's response when youre blocking them. The online part is getting better with plenty of options to ajust rules and its even got a 'search for games' option.
And the best part is.... THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING of something big and beautiful!

Well, I never did lose the feeling, just got a bit bewildered why Kaz did the things to GT5 that he did. But with updates coming every two weeks to a month or so, I had no doubt that this quirky game would slowly improve over time. And in spite of how weird it was to experience it on day 1 with the XP walls in place, it was still my favorite racer. GO GT! :D:tup:

The next thing we want:
Improved AI
3x more events (as many as the older games)
Saving mid championship AND mid endurance.
 
It's starting to feel like GT again. Good stuff, keep up the good work. :bowdown::bowdown::bowdown::cheers:

I'm suprised how good update this was.. so many little things are fixed now and it makes me happy. This is exactly why I quit PC gaming and bought console: to get good support for games.

Honestly, now i think its really some kind of.. strategy from pd, to keep people interested...well, it works LOL.
I'm happy with this last patch, little by little gt is improving.
Next:
Improved AI
3x more events (as many as the older games)
Saving mid championship AND mid endurance.

Every time I read thread titles as this one it reminds me of a Seinfeld episode:

Agreed. GT5 is starting to feel like the game I expected with this latest update. All I need is an expanded A-Spec mode and number five is golden!

Am I the only one who is dissapointed with this patch?

The best implemented feature is that it shows wich car you already got... The rest is still useless... Why do they implement PP and let the BS A-Spec mode still so boring?

As I´ve seen that the patch has 301MB I thought that there must be at least 1 new car... But nothing lol
 
As soon as I read the title of this thread, the first thing that popped in to mind was Pokemon!

Well Im not a child like rest of you Im just sharing my thoughts on this new patch and that I still love GT of all games. Im also a big fan of cod, bf and gta but havent got near them since GT dropped.
 
The update is good, for what it adds/fixes, but we're still nowhere near good enough to stop me defecting to another title and console in due course. It's going to take something very special for me to stick around.

Sorry to sound miserable, but I'm in the "all that time spent on what?" brigade.
 
One day we'll get a patch hopefully with more/better events. One day we'll get a patch with improved AI's. One day we'll get a patch with more premium cars and hopefully less standards. One day we'll get a patch with dragracing etc etc etc....

Now these are my belives....!
 
So much nicer round here now that all the moaners have been replaced by happy people that actually like the game. 👍👍👍

Excellent update, clearly this how the game should have shipped, but I am glad it's been patched to this level.

I really don't need more events as long as they continue to generate Seasonal Events every 2 weeks. Saving during the enduros is a MUST as well as continued AI fixes. The other missing option: setup saves for suspensions & gears. More RM cars would be welcomed as well.

I truly hope this is the beginning of more goodness from PD/Sony towards GT5.

I'm loving waking up to see my 5 shared Bobs have earned me about 700K credits and about 500K XP from midnight till 8am racing against other Bobs and my 1 unshared Bob had just finished a 4hr Nurburgring endurance.

Love the update and really like the game. Will once again love the game when and if they give us back our old tracks from Gt1-4.

Hey PD......next update, give us back one track like Midfield and then another say....every 3rd update. Do this and I guarantee you customer base will only grow, not dwindle.

1000 Cars? Well if your on a small standard def TV, and you don't use the cockpit view, and you really like driving economy cars, then yeah there are 1000 cars.

I don't fit into any of those three criteria.

Ocezam I kinda agree with you on those points but like Kaz once said, update like these trough patches will keep on coming for long long time.... Was in a article about the game I read when the game just came out
