And if the Vue's grille eats children, then the B9 Tribeca's grille eats Indochina.
I don't know. It seems pretty close to me in ugliness:
vs.
Especially when compared to the great looking original.

By the way - Cadillac is definitely the best product they make. I'd put Chevrolet second. Isuzu is worst.
While I agree that Cadillac is the best of the new GM (not the Deville, though), and a good sporty sedan; the build quality in Saabs (well, not the 9-2X or 9-7) is far and away the best out of any GM car by far. they are just stupidly expensive. And Izusu did make a couple of good cars at one time, not even that long ago; but otherwise I would agree.

I actually checked out an '06 Vue today and the grille isn't like the pic you posted - I think the pic you posted may be the Red Line only - sort of an extension on the normal Vue's less-threatening grille.

And nothing will ever close close in ugliness to the B9 Tribeca. Ever.

Yeah, the Deville's not exactly up to par, but I think we'd both agree that it's a necessary product for Cadillac and it's also necessary for it to be as it is (soft suspension, etc.). Objectively it's a decent value - compared to various German cars it's up on power and features - the problem is that it handles like a yacht, and most buyers are either rental car reps or 90-year-olds.

The Saab 9-5 had good quality for back when it was introduced: August of 1997. Since then, all competitors have existed in either two or THREE different bodystyles and have each lapped it. The 9-3 SportCombi is nice, but the base 9-3 is weak - very few vehicles in that class have front-drive-only anymore, and the V6 is finally here but how about natural aspiration for a change? The only reason I forgive the wagon is because it's so god damn quick and really it's not that expensive - the one I'd get lists at $33900, and that's a 6.6-second 0-60 time plus a ****load of standard features. But there are much better sedans.

Isuzu has indeed built good products - not the VehiCross - my family used a '92 Rodeo as the family car for eleven years. We had a manual - imagine today a manual transmission on an SUV!

If GM is smart, they will just push the Opel/Vauxhall lineup into the US through Saturn, and they could have a fighting chance at knocking out Honda and Toyota to some extent with some cars. Although we do have the Vectra X4 here in the US, I would hope the Aura will use all of the right pieces from the European model, and not be watered down like Malibu and G6.

I'm still crossing my fingers for the Astra, especially the one with the extended glass windshield.

I'll revel in my victory - it's not often someone just concedes an argument as you've done right now. In fact, in my history on GTP I don't think I've ever seen someone be so hot on their argument and then just back down as you just have. Proving that rationality can indeed win out over irrationality - despite what it seems given the state of affairs with the oval office. I would like to bring to attention this statement however:

Doesnt that tell you something?

M5Power
What does that mean? Which cars are you referring to?

I don't know, mr. rational. how about the ones you misquoted, and after Tornado corrected you, you then said "I know, I was just giving him crap cause of his attitude"
This Is why I quit arguing with you, FYI. because you can't keep track of whats going on. To reply to you, I have to: Quote, set-up, dig back through, quote what was originally said, before that, let you know you're responding about things that neither of us brought up, recall what you said for you, tell you what you said, quote that, type in my response, and hope you understand 50% of it, just so I don't have to repeat as much next time.
All that = I don't care.

EDIT: YSSMAN: I wasnt referring to your power numbers, as to this day, I don't recall you ever misquoting a vehicle on figures.

Oh come now. What is wrong with the VehiCross? It and the Axiom were very nice compact SUV's. The styling of the VeihCross may have been controversial, but the SUV in itself was nice (which is different from, say, the Aztek, which was ugly and bad), pretty powerful and cheap. It was even very good off-road. They also sold quite well.

I think the main problem with the VehiCross was actually not its exterior styling (which was the #2 problem) but instead the fact that it had two doors. SUV buyers have demonstrated time and time again that they really want five doors, with few exceptions. Once on this forum I made a list of all the two-door SUVs that had been cancelled, and those that had succeeded, the Jeep Wrangler being the only one on the latter list. Pricing was competitive had it been a midsize SUV, but once buyers found out it was a 2-door, they stayed the hell away. Well that, and after they saw one.

The Axiom rocked - I recommended the **** out of the thing - but its main problems were lack of adveritising, body-on-frame, and the fact that it was generally outdated - when it was cancelled a couple of years ago, it was the only midsize SUV not offering side airbags. One of my friends bought one (used), oddly, and he let me drive it - I enjoyed the interior immensely. I still recommend them hard used - depreciation has eaten them like B9 Tribeca eats longhorn steer.

:) I don't think I've ever had such a clear-cut victory in any argument I've ever had in the four years I've been on GTP. 👍 The funny thing about the statement I quoted is that not only did I not understand it, but YSSMAN didn't understand it. Plus you didn't quote anything, were intentionally vague, and still haven't clarified it. As I said - good showing - you've boosted my ego to new heights. :D

I'm not going to clarify, greater being than thou, I believe I stated that in the post your talking about.

wow, that post was so full of bad resources or stupidity, I just can't tell. To much for me to deal with.
hmmmm... now tell me how you know I was being intentionally vague?

I'm even confused by what they are even arguing about anymore...

BTW: The local Pontiac dealer allready sold two G5s, and they actually have a Solstice ready to sell as well.

Aren't you mistaking this for the "Did you see anything good today" thread? :sly:
No, I'm clearly mistaking it for the "did you see anything with an extremely ugly front end" thread. Also a participant:

612 Scaglietti may have the power advantage, but I will simply eat him and spit out his wheels. I don't LIKE alloy.
