Agreed.👍

When I lived in Oklahoma I called it pop because everybody acted like they didn't know what the hell a soda was. Now that I'm back in South Carolina it's soda, and I'll never call it pop again no matter where I live.

Anyone who calls it soda pop needs punched in the face.

Pop is the stupidest word ever for a drink. Here in Pittsburgh everybody calls it pop, I can't stand it. It's soda.

I call it by its name. if the bottle says "Sprite", I'll say "hey, give me a sprite". the only exception to this is Coca-Cola, which I call coke...

****ty piece of bullcrap ****ing **** album.

Soda.

"Soda pop" is redundant, and "pop" is just too old-fashioned...it's a colloquial thang, my peeps.

Understandable, but if you ask somebody if they want something, and you have a variety, what do you end up calling the subject?

Yes, duh. I suppose you aren't smart enough to make that a period.

I know that Doug realizes this, but to anyone else, this is a joke, and should not be taken literally...

That's pretty well the rule here, although they're generically referred to as soft drink (as opposed to 'hard' drinks, which are alcholic, such as beer, wine, spirits)
