Pop up lights...

ok...all of my cars with the pop lights dont exactly pop up...all i see is light comin through it...but in some of the videso i watched...the lights do pop up...and for the replays....u can see the light from far away...but when it gets closer...the fornt lights fade out...and u cant see them anymore.....anyone experience the same thing?
 
Yup. Don't fret... the programmers aren't required to be consistent. ;)
 
You'll also notice that the graphics look very nice and smooth in the intro video, while the actual gameplay isn't quite as nice (though still much better than any other racing game! :)).
 
i don't undestand what you mean when you say the lights don't pop up - as far as I know they're either up - on night tracks- or down on day tracks, they dont go up or down during races!!!
 
On some cars (I've noticed this in the Jaguar XJ220 in particular), you don't see the lights popped up... instead, the headlights are illuminated as if it were a normal fixed-lense unit.
 
I've noticed that when you're watching the night races, you see a little funnel on the road which is supposed to be the lights. The problem is that its always looking towards the bottom of the screen.
 
the lights on cars do pop up on night races... I just saw this on my lotus spirit (wich by no means have subtle pop up lights, there are two of them per slot) and the corvette... and they DO pop out.

c'mon, if you can notice if there is negative camber in your tires... you really think programmes would have let a detail as big as dat go unnoticed???

hey if u got the cd verison there won't be pop up..they took alot out of the cd verison..but my freids have the dvd copy and the lights pop up..lol i have the dvd version too lol..it pops alrite its the u need to ge the dvd version..
 
cd version? are those ripped? how would they fit on the CD anyways with all of the info about the cars? that's really wierd .....
 
theyre called cd-rips

yes, they do work, and i have seen quite a few in my day, and my pc reads them as CD's, not DVDs

they do that by cutting out lots of info that isnt really that necessary, reducing the sound quality, texture quality, etc.

not worth it if you ask me

i'd rather get the real deal:)

dumb **** there is cd version fool..they just take clips on the arcade and took out extra stuff like the cars can't open their headlights and other like the opening of the movie..and plus all u guys without chip..suck ****..cause u guys have to buy real when i can buy fake and still have the same qaulity as real ones..

I prefer my normal lights rather than the pop-up lights though ;) Looks weird when the lights are up :p
