3.8 V8 - 500 hp
3 electric motors adding another 218 hp

Says Wolfgang Dürheimer, board member in charge of R&D: “This car can lap the Nürburgring faster than the Carrera GT. At the same time, it averages 95 mpg when driven gently. Are we going to build it? We will definitely bring some blank sales contracts to the Geneva show, but it’s too early to talk pricing, production volumes, and timing.

that is sex! Not sure about the rear end though. It looks kind of like and r8 and a few other cars.

Clear wheels? I don't know whether to hate those or think they are awesome. The rest of the car looks like something out of one of the Burnout games.

When Porsche steps outside the 911 body styling - hot damn.

Joey, it looks like the Carson 500 GT, and that other one I can't remember.

The Tempesta!

That's what it looks like.

Build that goddamn thing now!

Must has nao.

I believe Porsche has made a great hunk of carbon (I assume), and made eco-freaks faint at the same time. I salute them.

Stick some better wheels on it and I would marry it tomorrow (don't tell my wife)... stunning!

Those wheels are so....

...I've seen those somewhere before.

Don't really care for the wheels nor the electric motors, but otherwise it's great.

718hp combined:tup:, 95 mpg:tup:, looks:tup:, side exhaust:tdown:.

Other than that, this is the first Porsche that doesn't look boring (I'm talkin' bout' you 911!) It seems like VW is doing good as new parents. i hope they build this!

I just thought of something that worries me. I hope Porsche don't make this an electric car like Mercedes-Benz that's really expensive and has gobs of power yet a Honda Civic Type R can outrun it.

I didn't even notice the 718hp and 95mpg. I'm assuming the electric motors will run alone for the first however many miles up to whichever speed, then once drained the engine will turn on. Thats where the inflated mpg comes from.

No, I think that's backwards. Electric motors are probably for cruising at speed or something.

Keep in mind that Porsche is also playing KERS technology with the GT3R Hybrid. I wouldn't be surprised if this will end up adopting that technology as well.

I also forgot that its engine is an evolution of the one from the RS Spyder. It's really hard not to like this car.

But it's a hybrid. It pretty much caters to the Hollywood crowd that drive their exotics to the corner cafe, and then back home again. It's disgusting. Why can't they make it a diesel or something.

When did having a hybrid powerplant become a bad thing?
